That's probably because you are expecting to feel some pain. Just keep on working with it until that problem goes away. It will get better in time and you will be able to retract it more.

He knows he's uncircumcised but he's having issues pulling the foreskin over the head when erect which is totally normal but all he needs to do is just pull back a lil bit everytime so it stretches out a bit then he'll be fine

Hi, I'm seventeen and it's only recently come to my attention that the foreskin is meant to retract fully over the head when erect. I can pull it over the head when flaccid, no problem and no pain whatsoever, but I can only pull it back when hard about a third of the way. I've considered pulling it back when flaccid (easy) and then getting hard so that the foreskin will already be retracted when I'm erect.....I guess my main question is will that make my penis explode or something?! Not likely but it could hurt a lot depending on how tight it is. Just keep pulling it back as far as you can when erect and hold it there for several minutes. If you do that every day it will get looser in a few weeks. Also there is no rule that it is supposed to retract over the head by itself when you get erect. It doesn't matter at all except that you will probably like the feeling of your bare head sliding in and out of your female partner and so will she.

Okay thank you! Trouble is, me and my girlfriend have done stuff before and due to it being hard to get a free house away from parents, it's a rare thing....and on Wednesday we're planning to try sex which is why I was asking if I should pull it back when soft, and then get hard. Hi im 18, I also have the same problem were I can't pull my foreskin back past my head and yet I can still pleasure myself fine yet when i don't know if this is normal, doesn't hurst when erect, mother said that when I was porn the doctor said I was born with extra foreskin but it shouldn't be a problem so no need to get its snipped yet Im. Yeah, I have the same problem. Though I can pull it back manually with ease without pain or anything, the skin just won't pull back on it's own when erect.
