Hi Andy,

If your period started on May 9, and that day was when it was expected, then you would not likely be pregnant from sex on May 5. However, if you had sex about April 20-25, then you could be. Did your previous period start April 7?

Hi I'm Janly. I'm late for 5 days, and Im not experiencing any PMS but constant food cravings. My last period was on April 14. And my cycle is 28 days. My boyfriend and I had unprotected sex but he did'nt finish inside. I dont know if it will help but for the past week I have been sleeping only for quite a few hours (2-3 hours of sleep) is it normal for having a late period with these factors?

Oh and one more thing, we had unprotected sex on april 26 where he didnt finish inside. How much is the possibility of me being pregnant?

Hi Janly, As your last period started 14 April, with a regular cycle of 28 days, you would expect your next period to be 12 May, so you are only 2 days late. Disrupted sleep patterns can cause hormonal imbalance, and suppress ovulation. However, you didn't give the date(s) you had sex since your last period.

Hi Janly - With a period start expected 12 May, 26 April would have been a fertile day. The fact he didn't finish inside you lowers the chance of pregnancy but doesn't remove it. Pre-cum can contain sperm.

Janly - 27 April would more likely be a fertile day than even 26 April. Both days would be likely fertile days.

Andy - April 5 (period start) to May 9 (period start) gives a cycle of 34 days. it would indicate you were fertile 20-25 April. Then 5 May would not have been a fertile day. However, you haven’t answered some the questions I asked:

  1. Do you know the date the period before that (March) started? Perhaps 4 March?
  2. What dates have you had sex since your March period started?

Hi, I have tried to remember all my period date that starts from January 19 which is actually 12 days delay because of hormonal imbalance and on Feb 21 then on the march, it's 26 which is delayed again and April 5 then this month is may 9. that's how irregular my period each month.

we have sex on march 12 but we use a condom up until on April but on may 5 we haven't use a condom since he wouldn't be able to cum if we continue to use it instead we just use withdrawal method.

Andy - Your cycle seems quite regular - usually. But you did have one very short period.

  • 19/01/2017 to 21/02/2017 = 33 days
  • 21/02/2017 to 26/03/2017 = 33 days
  • 26/03/2017 to 05/04/2017 = 10 days
  • 05/04/2017 to 09/05/2017 = 34 days

Do you know what might have caused that short period? If your next cycle were to be 10 days, then 5 May could have been a fertile day!

Why do you say "he wouldn't be able to cum if we continue to use it"? Does that mean that he hasn't ever cum before when using a condom? That would be unusual! But if he really cannot, then still use the condom, but take it off after withdrawal, and he can be finished by hand. His pre-cum might contain sperm, and also he might not withdraw in time (as often happens).

He actually cum on our second try of the condom but just a little bit only and on another try and so, on he cannot cum.. we have sex on may 5 we use withdrawal then on may 9 my period is not like other periods I have, I mean the days is not normal. cause it's like dots already in the 3rd day which is not in my previous period and on the 4th-day a small amount only then gone. then it actually gets back on the 5th day but just small line only and then it was gone like forever. Could I be pregnant?

Andy - Periods do sometimes vary, but it is possible you might be pregnant. Withdrawal is not reliable. I suggest you take a test. If it is negative, then take another test on 26 May (3 weeks after your last sex).

I would strongly advise not relying on withdrawal. You are leaving yourself open to pregnancy (and also STIs). Where are you from?

You say he can't cum much when wearing a condom. How about you? Do you cum when he is wearing a condom? I suggest you try making him cum by hand when he is wearing a condom, and see for yourself how much he can cum (without him realising you are doing a test). It may help him release.

I hope this helps a bit more.
