Having sex after 7 days of your period starting is not a good guide. Your fertile days relate to the next period, not the previous one. If your cycle were the typical 28 days, then 26 August would not have likely been a fertile day. However if it were 25 days, then it could well have been a fertile day.
Even those with regular cycles sometimes find an occasional different-length cycle. Emotional changes and stress can affect ovulation. So anytime you have sex there is the chance (even if small) that pregnancy might follow.
I hope this helps.

There are several conversations on this topic, and I am in danger of again losing track of whom I am speaking to! So I think I am talking to Nette.
First take the test because the stress of not knowing will disturb your cycle. The risk you take with having intercourse is that you may get pregnant, especially if you do not use contraception. Did you use contraception? Was this the first time you had sex? What were the circumstances?
If you find that you are pregnant, then you only have two options: (1) Continue with the pregnancy or (2) have an abortion. But I would strongly advise against abortion. Apart from the moral implications of terminating a life, there would be the physical and emotional consequences of dealing with the after-effects. Many girls who have had an abortion regret killing the very life they felt they should have protected. There is the preferable option of seeking adoption. Otherwise why not marry your boyfriend? You have already bonded with him. What are the religious or cultural implications for you?
I hope this helps. I wait to hear from you again, and try to help more if I can.

It would be helpful to have a name to use as there are other posters on this thread.
The fact you are having sex means there is the possibility that you are pregnant, but you don't give much information for me to go on.
Pre-cum can contain sperm, and a partial release of semen can take place before orgasm.
You can only get pregnant if you have sex at a fertile time.
So ....
[1] How do you calculate when your period is due? Do you assume a 28-day cycle, or do you use a calculator?
[2] August was 7 days late, and this is only 6 days late.
[3] What date was your next period due? 22 Sept?
[4] how often have you had sex with your husband since your last period? Do you know the dates?
[5] How do you know he didn't cum inside?
I hope this helps as a start, but if you can answer my questions, I'll try and give some further thoughts.

You also didn't answer question 5!

What is the normal cycle?

The 'monthly' cycle is often 28 days, but there can be wide variations, all of which would be called normal. You haven't said much about yourself, or where you live. If you are young and have only just started your periods, then the first several could be irregular until they (hopefully) settle into a regular pattern. However, if 31 Aug was not your first, then please would you give the dates your previous 3 periods started.
I hope this helps as a start.
I wait to hear from you.
