I had the mirena inserted at the earliest time a contraceptive may be used after the birth of my youngest son on October 25, 2009. It was almost time for me to have it removed but last night when I checked my strings I noticed that they were shorter then usual so I pulled on them softly and the mirena came right out. There was no clott and I have not had any bleeding or discomfort. I haven't had intercourse for about a week so what could have dislodged it for it to just come out so easily??
