my period is late

Hi my name is louise iam 38 and new to this forum i joined too get some advice.iam not sure what to think really .....
me and my fiance been trying for a baby for awhile i went on the pill for awhile as my periods were erractic.while on the pill my period became worse so i came back off it about 5 weeks ago.and i still havent had a period.by now i would of had a period even when came off the pill by week 4 my period came.ive done a few pregancy tests which have came back negative.i havent had any pregnancy symptons though ive been having small cramps not painfull it didnt last for long and went away this been having on and off now for past 2 weeks. there no sign of my period coming yet.please could somebody give me advice.ive made an appointment too see the nurse on tuesday as this happend to a fiend of mine inreggular periods,negative tests and cramps.she went to doctor to be told she pregnant.iam so dying to become a mummy i just want it to happen.any advice thanks
