I posted this a while back and after about another 4-6 weeks of continuos bleeding I did a lot of research. Spent a lot of time talking to holistic doctors and many people reccomended M2Tone... I did more research on it and found that it had prooven effective with little side effects shown. Many websites said that results may not be seen for 2-4 weeks. I ordered the M2Tone and it came from India so it took 3 weeks to get here. It smells and tastes funny but after 3 days I had slowed way way down. I was taking two tablets a day (morning-evening) and had stopped completely during the day and would spot in the evening... increased dosage to 3 tablets a day. Some of the websites I found recommended 2 a day while others recommended 3, so I wasn't doing anything crazy. I have now been on M2Tone for a while and while I am not regular it is a lot less spuratic and becomming more regular. I am pleased to say that it has worked for me.

I just turned 49 about 6 months ago and also started seeing menopause symptoms. I only skipped a coupe of periods and had some hot flashes. This month I was due to get a period. since the start of my period I have the same symptoms as you light to heavy bleeding and lots of clots, and it has also been about 4 weeks. I am a bit concerned that it has lasted this long and I show no signs of stopping. I too am looking for some answers. everyone keeps telling me to see my doctor.

Read the "Infertility Cure" by Radine Lewis. She goes into the reasons for your problems! If your body isn't ovulating, you are going to have stagnant blood in your uterus. The blood will "weep" for a long time. Odds are, most people who bleed for awhile, who aren't ovulating, are not anemic.

this is crazy! i also have this problem and i am 27. my period has always been irreguar. when i was younger a docter put me on birth control pills to help it and it made me bleed non- stop. so i stopped taking them and the period went away. later it came back still irregular so i then got on the shot. this made it go away. i did this for like 2 1/2 years straite. then i stopped the shot cause it began to give me stomach problems. i went about 1 1/2 years without a period after that and then one day it jus came back. at first it would come for a long period then end for a longer period. after a while i began to be on longer than i am off and the heavy blood clots started. i am also over wieght and was told that this was why i was going through this which i believe is complete bull! so lately i jus deal with it and pray that what ever it is doesnt kill me. im jus happy to see that im not alone in this situation. for a while i thought it was jus me. but knowing that there are others out here experiencing this makes me feel a little more at ease about it. i wish it would go away but at least it isnt deadly considering the fact that all of u guys are still alive........I hope! ? %-) lol please tell me u are!

i have had my period for 19 days now. i have had bloating and pressure that has made me look four months pregnant, as well as bouts of nausea, stabbing pains that come and go down in that "area" and the bleeding has been moderate to light, with some clots.. i also have had abnormal cell readings in the past. i have not been on depo or any form of birth control for over 4 years.  anyone been through this or know what is causing all this s***, cuz i am very tired of it already. by the way i am 34yr with 2 kids both born vaginally.

I see a lot of questions, but nobody posted what their outcomes were.  I am 42 been bleeding every 2 weeks.  Large clots, I had some blood work this morning and ultrasound friday.  I'm hoping I am just going through a change, but I feel something may be wrong.  Hope someday writes what their out come was...

Hi.  I posted a question on 3/5/2011.  I'm 49 and have been having menopause symptoms.  Well my period finally stopped about 2 months later.  I'm guessing that my problem is due to menopause.  Someone replied to my question about the book, "The Infertility Cure"  I haven't seen my doctor yet but am scheduled to go within the next week.  Ah, menopause, ain't it great.

Yep, that was me!  The Infertility Cure is a great book!  :)  Menopausal symptoms can be controlled to a great extent with an herbal remedy called Estroven.  My mother used it when she was in the early stages and it helped a TON with night sweats and mood irregularity.  I can't speak to whether or not it will help with the period issue, because she had a hysterectomy done many years ago.   I hope it helps.

Something I've been trying is Vitex and acupuncture.  The vitex is making my body shed the lining of my uterus, so that I can actually ovulate.  The acupuncture helps me to create healthy eggs.  VITEX is really, really easy to find and it works very gently on your body.  If you are having long bleeds or no bleeds, I recommend beginning a regiment of it (it's also called chasteberry.)  It will take a few months to work, but it works!!

Isthere another issue going on with your body?  Are your
hormones okay?  That would be something that needs to be checked out.
You might have them test your estrogen, progesterone, testosterone,
vitamin D, thyroid (not just TSH, but T4 Free and T3,) glucose levels,
insulin, etc.  You may have to ask specifically for these tests.  Did
they find anything on your ovaries when they did the ultrasound?  I have
PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome) and hypothyroidism, so to stop my
bleeding I had to get on thyroid medication to increase the amount of
thyroid hormone being put out and on metformin to help reduce the amount
of follicles on my ovaries.  Your problem probably has an easy fix, it
just sounds like the doc is being lazy and not finding out what is
happening.  Best of luck to you!
