I believe that these problems have been caused by the hormones given to our food supply: dairy cows, beef cattle, pigs, chickens-- they are given hormones to make them mature faster, so they can be bred earlier, and eaten sooner, with more meat on them. This is very profitable to our food industry, but very bad for our food supply AND bad for US. Eating and drinking from hormone-fed animals has got to have an effect on us, and these problems we women are having nowadays certainly seem to be connected.
I have been to my regular doctor and my gynecologist and both have only tried putting me on BC pills. I have been bleeding for 7-8 months straight. At first regular menstrual and then light until recently which is very heavy and also clotting heavy. Yet I can not get either Dr to do anything. They have checked my thyroid and pap was normal so they automatically think estrogen.. They put me on straight estrogen and I broke out in hives so no on BC pills. They have tried two versions of those yet only getting worse. I have no energy, I get dizzy and light headed, I have dark circles under my eyes. I am also getting cramps now and I have never got cramps. I did have my tubes tied 18 yrs ago and I had two c-sections prior to that. I have no sex life and I am sick of it.. I would love for anyone to have a solution.
I hope this helps you... I was having similar menstrual problems.... A doctor asked me if I was 100% Sure I was done having children. Yes I was! So they scheduled Me for an outpatient procedure where they burned the lining of my uterus. I continued to have a moderately heavy period for a week or two. But gradually my monthly visitor stopped all together.
I am 33 and I have been living with this for 7yrs My cycle will come on and stay for months at a time. Rollercoaster of heavy, clots Hugh like woah big. My doctor said its because of my weight the estrogen is out weighting the progestin that our body makes naturally. I take it from 16 - 25th of every month 2 pills at night and for real it makes my period normal. I know how you feel and i love it and can't live without it. I couldn't take it any more my period was uncontrollable i wanted to die so stressed not able to live my damn life that way was waring the big night pads in the day time :( Never again yall :)))

Be well that's a bull c**p doctor I am not over weight and having the same problems, I am on birth control to regulate the periods and it's not working I've been trying it for 3 months so far. If you get a solution please share
I'm 38 have same thing happening. All blood work was normal not pre menopausal. If not planning on kids, the iud worked perfectly but I want kids so was prescribed progesterone. Hope this helps.
I have been experiencing symptoms of menopause since I was 36, I am 44 now and just last fall I started skipping periods... along with all the fun side affects like hot and cold flashes, 10-20 pounds of water retention that I would pee out in 2 days after my period started, etc. But my period was only ever 2-5 days long after I had my tubes tied at 25 after my last child. I did have a stillborn that had some complications with delivery, but after the last baby, I figured all was well. I was actually glad that I started skipping, figured that I was approaching the end of this nonsense. Then I got my period and it not only didn't stop, but I went through 3 boxes of tampons in 2 weeks. I would say that added up to, with the plumb sized blood clots... 4-8 ounces of blood loss a day... I got very weak and sick. My doctor put me on BC to stop the bleeding. It worked until I got to the sugar pills... same thing... so my doctor said to just keep taking the BC and don't take a break. She referred me to a specialist... but I wouldn't be able to see the specialist for 4 months. Ok, no prob.... I am bleeding again on the BC... it lasted 3 packages. So far it isn't pouring out like before, but everything hurts. I feel like I'm 4 months preggo, my kidneys are aching, I have trouble eating and I gained weight... probably water retention. My chest hurts and I am exhausted all the time. My doctor has told me to be patient and just keep monitoring it until I can see the Gyn... in 4 weeks! Oh yes, I have Fibro Myalgia and Hypothyroid. I was very athletic and now I can barely go for a long walk. It's affecting my work. I will report later once we figure this out. I will most likely need an Endometrial Ablation or if there is a bigger problem, a hysterectomy. SIGH. If I was to give advice, go to the doctor and be honest.
