My stomach only hurts on like the lower bottom when i do crunches why is this?

The main muscles that are active while you do crunches are six-packs and they tend to absorb the most pressure. Important thing to do before starting crunches is warm up. You need to do few stretches and you will be ready. There are several ways to do crunches so it would be advised that you try all of them before you find the one that suits you the most. Also important thing is not to overdo this exercise. It is possible that your stomach hurts because you overdone yourself. How many crunches do you do? Are you doing them in intervals?
