Hello, I am a 21 year old man. I am overweight and recently I was in a car wreck and broke my neck. I had to spend three months in a cervical neck color. While in my neck color I almost always slepted sitting up. Then when I got the neck color off and I started sleeping on my back again the top of my lower back started hurting. Now my testicals started hurting and it seem like the pain is linked to my back. I also noticed little milky white see-through "strands" floating in my urine. At times the pain is bad enough I cant even walk. I have no medical insurance and I already owe my local hospital 8,000 from my neck. Is there anyway this will get better on its own?

Hi honey! This is a TOTAL bladder/kidney/UTI infection! Also you have a LOT going on from the accident, when you pull muscles in your spine, they can TOTALLY affect your bladder, prostate, pelvic area etc. And the nerves are always ON! But since you have had the mucus in your urine, then I would dfinitely lead towards a bad infection - and since it is from you back I would say a kidney infection! Unfortunately the only way you can get this fixed is with antibiotics! Did you have insurance with your car accident? Because this might be covered under that too! I would definitely like you to have a kidney ultrasound or better yet a kidney xray - but it will be upto your doctor and then he/she needs to take a urine culture!
