My vulva has been itchy and sore, and it hurts

Hey I'm 13 years old and had the same problem a year ago I was afraid to tell anyone! After I told my mom because it started to get really painful each day it would get worse, so I went to see a doctor and the doctor said that it was a yeast infection! So you should see a doctor or tell someone.

The outside of my vagina is sore and itchy, my clitoris has scabs on it, and the outside of my vagina burns. What is causing all of this?
