Worth a try for sore throat and to loosen mucous ~ Mix cayenne pepper, ginger, & cloves in equal amounts (1/2 tsp each is a good place to start) add some honey and s.l.o.w.l.y. eat as a paste (think wasabi hot) or add hot water and sip slowly as tea. (I only got through 1/2 cup last night, will try to down the other 1/2 tonight). I also add lemon or lime and sometimes even a shot of whiskey. The spices are STRONG so be ready for a blast of flavour, hopefully healing flavour ~ it sures tastes as though it could knock anything out! If nothing else, you should sleep well, and catch your zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz's.
Next, I'd like to try a Castor Oil pack for the throat and also the chest to knock out the stubborn bronchitis. I just read about the many healing uses of Castor Oil ~ anyone have any experience with that? I'm all for natural as much as possible. I think Edgar Cayce extolled the many benefits of C.O. so you may want to do a relative search.
As for the emotional component towards wellness, perhaps jumping up and down and spinning three times, and chanting while mid-air 'I reclaim my health' would be worth a try ~ or at least a good laugh ~ and Laughter is Good Medicine! In fact, from Proverbs: 'A Merry Heart Doeth Good Like A Medicine' so I must conclude the opposite is true, a heavy heart can help make us sick, which I think is what has happened to me, so I'm trying to lighten up and focus more on what I DO HAVE, rather than all that has been lost. Perhaps the worst loss of all would be to lose one's sense of humour, for then we really are left with a world of grey and pain. Experiment: I just thought of this, you may want to try it too. Next time the flu-like aches and horrible pains start, what would happen if we forced ourselves to sing and/or laugh out loud? Is it possible to laugh and feel pain at the same time? hmmmmm.... or would we find the pain lifting, if only temporarily? To each of you who are suffering, here's to your health and moving beyond these mysterious, lingering symptoms, Cheers!
