Get tested for thoracic outlet syndrome. Go and see a vascular surgeon. I'm going through the same thing.

Hi I am Sher a CNA and I hurt my clavicle, shoulder and neck turning a patient, and I am having pain in those areas. There is a bump/lump on my right clavicle at the end of the bone between my neck. This over a month now, I have been doing therapy and seeing the othorpedic doc. At certian angles it hurts - when I turn my head to the left, if I do shoulder shugs with the right shoulder that whole area along with my clavicle hurts. The pain comes right back when the meds wears off, I cant sleep on that side...a lot of discomfort and pain most times. To even hold something heavy in my right hand extended down I feel the strain in that area. I am still doing therapy.....can someone tell me what is going on here-I need to work. Thanks.

I think it is a ligament, I am trying to find out which one. I have been dealing w/ my clavicle now for months. No change. Relief for a few days, then right back to square one. I have been having my fiance work on the bone itself and all attaching musculature, It has helped, but seems to come right back if I don't have it worked on every week.

dependind on your med history, have you had Dexa scan or Vit D labs done? Also, depending on the area on of your clavicle it could be neck or shoulder. You made need to have MRI done, however, you need to be examed by probably ortho or neuro to determine the appropriate MRI (C-spine, shoudler, clavicle) each study is ordered individually. hope this is helpful. I am having some of the same issues.

How do I get this done by someone in my area? I have been suffering from horrible muscle spasms, burning and pain in my neck, lower back and hips since a car accident 2 1/2 years ago. I have been to chiros, orthos, massage, acupuncture and general physicians......no one can visibly see any cause of the pain and lack of healing.
