hello ive taken yaz for 7 months and just now decided to finish that last pack which i did and im cramping like hell, lol im starting today. which is good because i finished my pack like your suppose to do and it should return to normal. but i kind of had some weird things happen to me while taking them, my first month of taking them i didnt have a period fort the first month, then everything was fine until the 5th month of taking them, i missed a couple due to forgetting, and i caught back up on them, but i started getting all the signs of being pregnant, boobs hurting, pain on one side, nautius, headaches, lower back aches, so on and so forth. anyway i started a day early which was very unusual for me. but it finally got back on track, i did gain weight from being on it. and it made me very aggitatied and anchius, any way , i started smoking so much more because of it. now im going on 2 days with out cigg. cuz im ttc.but the problem is its going to be hard for me becuase your not to have stress cuz that makes it harder to get pregnant. but i am stressed becuz i stopped the cigg. so i dont know what will happen.

Hi,
I am 19, and I've been on the pill for about a year. I went on it because ever since I had 1st gotten my period I was always irregular so I went to the doctor and she prescribed me with Loestrin24.
Well due to my insurance going up it had gotten quite expensive for me so after my last pack I stopped. I was going to wait until I got my period again (a month) to go buy one but it hasn't come yet.
I am 2 weeks late going on my third week now and im quite nervous since a week b4 it was supposed to come I had sex twice, but with a condom..so now im very paranoid and im freaking out my boyfriend aswell as myself!!
I read all 4 pages on this topic and I see that its very normal so im praying that im in the same boat with you all =/

Hi, i was on yasmine for about 3 1/2 years to regulate my periods and found it really good. i stopped taking it in Nov 08 to try for a baby and come feb i still hadn't had a period. I was concerned about this as 3 pregnancy tests had come back negative so the doctor suggested doing tests to check blood and hormone levels. by the time my appointment for this came around i'd discovered that i was actually pregnant already and worked out i would have conceived around beginning Jan!
Just wanted to post this to put peoples minds at rest a bit, i think it's diff for everyone after coming off the pill, a friend of mine who was also on yasmine came off it and went straight back to regular 28 day cycles
Good luck to all with the baby making!

I also was on yasmin for over 8 years. I have been on and off birth control since I was 16 to help with my painful periods. I am frustrated because my husband and I are ttc, I went off the pill in August '09 and still no period. Doctor gave me prometrium to "cycle" me back, so now I just wait for a period. I really think bc can mess with your cycle, it scares me that I might not get a period and might not be able to conceive. Any advice?

I went on yasmin to clear my skin up and birth control. I then went off and did not get my period for over a year. I also gained alot of weight after stopping and my hair started falling out and my skin got really bad. This was while i was in London working. I got back to Aus went to the docs they did an ultra sound and diagnosed me with PCOS.
I am toying with the idea of going back on it. But after reading your stories i dont know if i want to go through that year of no period.

I stopped Yasmin in December and recieved my period only once in early April. It is now July and blood work show that my hormone levels are normal. I am still ovulating, which is a good sign and therefore those of you looking to get pregnant may not need to worry much. The dr. says the next step is to take is an ultrasound of the uterus to see how much lining has built up. This may be an idea you should discuss with your OBGYN, considering it may not be healthy to let your body go too long without a period.

I was on YASMIN for a year and came off it in September with the hopes of getting pregnant....still no period for me either! My gyno said it can take up to 3 months to leave your body completely but I plan on seeing my doctor anyway just to check things out. I'm 30 and my husband and I want a large family so I'm hoping it comes back soon....the clock's ticking!!

Hi
Just reading this thread and it is so sad and fustrating that when you want to start trying for a baby it takes so long to get your cycle back to normal after being on the pill.
I was on Yasmin for 5 yrs, I came off in August 2010 to start ttc in November. My cycle was normal for 3mths, which was great. On my 4th cycle I started yo-yo'ing between 56 - 36 day cycles which drove me crazy! At the end of May 2011 I fell pregnant and in July had found out that I had a missed miscarriage. Another 3mths passed and I got my first period. I went from 56 days, to 42, to 36, to 30 days. My period pains seem to be more intense than before, but hey my cycle is going back to normal so I really cannot complain!
I just wish that we had come off the Yasmin pill a year before we really wanted to start trying and that would be my advise to anyone on Yasmin.
Hopefully 2012 will be filled with baby dust for me and everyone else on this thread!

I was on Yasmin for ten months. I started the pill to regulate my periods and to not get pregnant. My periods before the pill were directly related to my stress levels. At one point, I had a period every other week for two months because of the amount of stress I was in. I started In March of 2011 and I stopped in December. I had my period right after stopping, as normal. And I haven't had once since. I feel a little concerned having read all of your posts. I don't want to have to wait any longer than two months (including this entire month) to get my period back. My family on my mother's side has a history of reproductive system failure. Endometriosis, gigantic fibroids requiring surgery, tumors growing from the placenta, among other things. I've checked for any signs of issues once before and they said to come back when I was 23 because that is the age where it should all settle or be obvious.
