My dad has non small cell (squamous cell) lung cancer and has had a very dry persistant cough for the last few weeks. He won't go to the Doctor and I wonder if it means that the lung cancer is spreading or what the deal is.

Well,

The fact is that non small cell lung cancer is the most common type of lung cancer. How long has your father been having the cancer? You have to tell him that he can’t ignore this because lung cancer is the most deadliest type of cancer. How old is your father? I know that lung cancer usually occurs in people older than 45 years of age. Cough is very often one of the main symptoms of lung cancer. Cough is usually persistent and it won’t go away. I think that he needs to see his doctor as soon as possible. I hope this helped you a bit.

All the best,

Nelie
