I’ve had total hysterectomy (vaginally) because 6 months ago it was discovered I had ovarian cancer that spread to the uterus 5 days ago and I was in hospital for 3 days post-op. It’s my second day at home and I feel much more pain than I was day after the surgery, not because my pain medications are not working, but because it’s hard to fight the pain that stabs through you every time you move. I know that pain reminds me that I have a wound to heal but even after my first surgery when they first saw the tumor I wasn’t in this much pain. It’s switching between period cramps- like pain to slashing quick pain when I move too quickly. If any of you ladies here have undergone this procedure, do you think this is to be expected?
