My girlfriend went to the gym yesterday but couldn't finish her workout due to the fact that she developed a headache and numbness in her lips and throat. She also says she experienced problems with her peripheral vision in her left eye. Anyone have any ideas what this could be?

Sounds like something happened with her nerves. It could be some whiplash or her neck vertebrae or out. If it happens again or keeps happening, I suggest seeing a chiropractor.

I have found these types of sensations tend to intensify if my blood pressure goes up. I generally have low blood pressure but with the stresses of my IT career field, lately my blood pressure has been skyrocketing and the tingling in the lips, ocular migraines, and headaches are my indication that my blood pressure is going high. Once these symtoms come to light I immediately stop what I'm doing and find ways to "calm down", which helps diminish the intensity of the symptoms you specified. I hope this helps.
