I have recently lost 37 pounds (10 pounds more over the past year) since the end of June. I have numbness and tingling in my fingers and toes. My doctor did some tests in the office and says it is not diabetes.
What could it be and what could be done about it?
He did run a blood test for Vitamin D and B-12. They seem fine.
Why would he talk about running an MRI?
Did my weight loss cause this?

Do you have back or neck pain? The numbness and tingling could be from spinal cord pressure. It is commen as people shrink when they get old due to the disk space or disk shrink in the spine this sometimes causes pain or pressure that would produce numbness in toes and fingers.
A MRI can see this in detail and help diagnose the problem and treatment.
Other disease can cause the symptoms such as: M.S. it is best to see a physician to help diagnose the problem good luck!!!
