well i take about 8-10 a day about 2 years or so and i know it will not be easy but if y'all can help. i need to see what i will need to get over this. i will be home for the whole withdrawal but i don't know if i can do it and getting very scared. please help!!! really want to start a drug free life.

Have a buddy who doesn't smoke walk with you all day. Have him watch you make sure you don't slip up and smoke. It's hard to even decide to quit, it's even harder when you are left alone with that decision.
When ever you feel you want a cigarette. Tell yourself no. Think about how it will affect your life in the future. Think about all that c**p you are inhaling into your lungs, and every cigarette you've smoked made you less healthy. less able to exercise. The nasty smoke and smell of cigarettes is disgusting.
Nicotine gums and patches can help you quit, if you are 18
Here are some of the withdrawal symptoms of tobacco, something for you to look out for
Fatigue
coughing phlem (mucous)
Depression
Increased appetite
Irritability

I read your post and I wondered what you are stopping cold turkey. Either you didn't specify or it wasn't posted.
I am coming off morhphine right now but my doc, who put me on this stuff, is trying to taper me off gently and slowly. There is nothing gentle about it. I cannot imagine going off drugs cold turkey.
I'm also a sober alcoholic and got off booze cold turkey, same with cigarettes, but going off of drugs cold turkey is not a good idea. If you've already started you will know by now just how painful it is.
