I'm 18 almost 19 and I have been dealing with re current bacterial infections since I was almost 17. At that time I could only afford to go to Planned Parenthood and they only told me it was a yeast infection. So, I went a year with the problem. Finally my sister took me to her GYNO and he took one look at my swab and said it was bacterial. He also told me my cervix was infected and my uterus. So, I got treated for it all (with flagyl) and started feeling a bit better. 3 months go by and it came back. I went back to that dr. and he gave me the same treatment (for the bacterial). AGAIN got better, 1 month went by, back again. Went back, same treatment (this was a few weeks ago). From the treatment I developed a yeast infection, treated that with 7 day monistat. Well, I'm done with the monistat and I am still feeling terribly itchy and kind of sore.
I am really desperate and I dont know what else to do. I am taking probiotics regularly, wear cotton underwear, I never wear anything too tight and when I exercise I shower right after. This is severly messing with my sex life with my fiance. Which, he says doesnt bother him, but I know it does, I mean, it bothers me. He HAS been tested to see if he has it and he doesnt. So, I have no clue what I am doing wrong.
Any advice is welcomed. Please help. :'(

Have you tried an anti- candida diet?

It's good that you're taking probiotics, but it's obviously not enough to give the good bacteria the edge over the bad bacteria, which is what a candida infection is ultimately.

People with strong immune systems who eat very little sugar and yeast almost never experience what you are. You should be completely avoiding any simple, refined sugars, and consuming a diet rich in vegetables, gluten free grains, distilled water and fiber. Also avoid aged cheese, alcohol, baked goods, vinegar, ham, and anything containing gluten. Acidic fruits like oranges and tomatoes will cause the candida to thrive as well.

If you need a little extra help, aloe vera and olive leaf are beneficial for healing infections.

That should help tremendously!

PS. Birth control will make it worse!

Thank you! I will definitely try that. I normally don't too badly but I will try and get more veggies in and stay away from certain things. I will also try the aloe vera. I'll probably go pill form for that though. ;)

Good luck!! :-)

Haven't tried it personally, but I've been told aloe liquid is pretty gross...
