I hadnt been with anyone sexually until after the first three weeks when i was having symptoms, it's the same guy ive been with since i got tested. I dont think he is cheating. but we just had sex a few days ago and i had a little blood, now it burns more when i pee my vagina is still swollen hours after sex and i feel like i have paper cut on outside of my vagina.. I'm not sure what to do its very frustating also not sure if i should mention im on yazmin birth control and have been for over a year.. i don't have health insurance so im hoping i can find a solution without spending hundreds to see dr.. thanks!

The vagina will swell after sex from irritation, normally due to lack of lubrication, thus causing the skin to become sore, swollen, and red.  I have had it done to me before.  When you had your biopsy done, they probably coated the inside of your vagina with some thick stuff that looks like peanut butter to keep the spot they clipped from bleeding.  There is a good chance that the normal bacteria in your vagina was thrown off causing a overgrowth of bacteria.  Now when bacteria gets into the urethra it can cause a UTI.  Antibiotics can also cause your immune system to go crazy even though it was made to help you.  Some antibiotics can also cause your birth control to be less effective.  Try getting a box of the 5 or 7 day treatment of the monistat cream and treat yourself for a yeast infection by putting the medicine in right before you go to bed.  Take the little anti itch cream and rub it on the opening of your urethra.  It can help with the burning.  Something was thrown off in your body because of the pap/biopsy.  When your vagina is swollen, put a cold compress on it.  Heat will make it hurt but the coolness from a bag of ice or even peas will help soothe the irritated skin.

Hi Larisam866371,
I am also having issues with bladder and virginal pain for over 30 years now, I have been to several specialist but everything they try works for a little while then it comes back. Went to see my urologist and told him that I was tired, frustrated, depressed over these issues I keep getting. I was getting blood in my urine, which I thoughts was bladder infections, turns out that my kidneys are not talking to my bladder, so I get bladder bleeds, I have been taking antibiotics prescribed by my family doctor for no reason, my urologist said he only has 3 cases with this issue. He suggest that I drink KEFIR everyday, it's like a natural probiotic, so since I have been drinking this, no more bladder bleed so far, touch wood, I make it my self with grains. Easy to make, I add Danone drinks to it as they have 10 billion probiotics as well and it makes it taste better, use homogenized milk or 2% but the higher the fat content the creamier the drink. I drink a cup every morning and it's good for your gut as well. I have started drinking apple cider vinegar with honey and water at lunch time, it neutralizes the acidity in your system and helps with candida which might be another one of your issues. Again go on line for apple cider vinegar and it will give you all the benefits, does and don'ts. I also started applying aloe vera plant to the sore area of my virgina, stops the burning and seems to heal things quickly.Hope this helps, it did for me, today I am pain free but doesn't mean I will be like this next week. My urologist also prescribed purfem it's a probiotic capsule you insert in the virgina, only 3 days on this so we will see. Good luck, I feel for you,
