I'm a 20 year female with no personal history of abdominal or 'gas' problems. But, the other day as I was taking a shower, I felt a sharp pain just above my belly button. I couldn't move for about 10 seconds and, finally, when it went away, I pushed on the spot which hurt only to the touch. After about a minute the pain went away completely. I figured it was gas, but my bowel movements were fine this day (I even took a laxative to help) but the pain came back once more. Then I thought maybe it was because I ate too much in one sitting so, at dinner time, I only had soup. But when I got home later on, my stomach was completely bloated (which only happens the week before my period & I'm not supposed to get it for another 2.5 weeks). Even when I tried sucky in, it didn't move, but the pain came back. This time it felt more like gas pains so I went to the bathroom and had a regular movement. My stomach was still bloated and the pain was still there. I just decided to lay down and after a few minutes it went away.
Can anyone help me and let me know what this might be? I know I'm not pregnant because, two days before the pain came on, I went to gynocologist for a check up and she confirmed I was not. Other than that, and gas pains, I have no clue as to what the problem could be.
