I haven't seen anyone ask this or have a similar circumstance:
I had my tonsils out 3 months ago (age 40). It was a breeze mainly because I was sick with strep the entire year prior to the surgery.
However, the ear pain was bad one month after, not immediately after.
I also had cuts on my tongue from the retractors and either the cuts have been infected or have grown scabs that really gag me all the time.
I have been to the ONT twice and am going back in a week but it is driving me crazy. My tongue is always dry and painful on one side. I know I am not imagining this all.
In between doctors visits I have had a terrible sinus infection and my ears pop all the time. I am on Liquibid for the congestion and Clindamyacin for the infection. This morning, nose bleeds!!!
Aaarghh. I would rather put up with the strep!
