My husband just had kidney stone surgery yesterday. The doctor went in to get the stone and he didn't see it anymore and said that he must have passed it. My husband had went to the doctor the day before his surgery and the stone was still there. He had the surgery because it had been 2 weeks since he was in the emergency room and they found the stones on a CT scan. The ER doctor sent him home that day with meds to pass the stone. The largest one was 4mm and he also has some smaller ones up higher. My husband never passed the stones so the doctor wanted to do the surgery. The 4mm stone was the one that was the lowest but when the doctor went to get it he says it wasn't there anymore. My husband is still having so much back pain and feels like the stone is still there. They put a stint in and my husband is suppose to remove it on Monday. I guess we will have to go back to the doctor for another CT scan to see if the stones are still there. If anyone has any answers please write back....
