I had a partial Hyst. about 2 yrs ago. I also am experiencing the same effects. I thought it was just me. In fact I thought it was my syatic nerve. Now I am thinking different. Just recently I stated to experience a pain that starts around the navel and shoots into my lower abdomen. Seeing this site has opened my eye to the fact I have not lost my mind and I am truly in pain. My OBGYN is pretty good, I have not mention this to him because I was not sure if this was in my head. I have an anual check up and plan on mentioning this.

Hi, I had a complete hysterectomy, almost directly after I had severe leg pain, mostly in the left leg, but the right leg hurts as well. Doctors have no answer, they chalk it up to fibromyalgia. Thats crazy, something happened to me on that table, i wish i knew what is wrong with me.  I went through major depression, anxiety and feeling like i wanted to end my life. I feel for all of you who are going through the same thing. Its a nightmare!

I had a hysteria in Jan 2011. I was having severe bleeding during my cycle. Upon examination, my doctor discovered my uterus was large. I had an ultrasound which revealed a 5cm mass growing from my uterine muscle wall. I asked about the possibility of cancer. I was told the odds were 1/2%. It looked like a large fibroid. I had a LVH. I still have my ovaries. The mass turned out to be a rare cancer. I went in to shock mode. I immediately started experiencing body aches and tingling numbness just like many others here. I have seen many doctors and none could tell me why. I discovered my answer online. We aren't crazy. These pains are very real. I have adhesions which are causing all this pain. It feels like fibromyalgia symptoms. I found a chiropractor that painfully broke up some of these adhesions. it helped so much! I haven't been to the chiro for a few weeks now. The pain is returning. I hurt all over and my arms and hands go numb at night. I hurt all day. Every inch of me. I plan to go back to the chiro. It's a hard way to live being in constant pain but I am happy to be alive. I have CT scans every 3 months. So far, no more tumors yet but this cancer has a high rate of recurrence. I love life, even with this pain. I am just thankful that I know what is causing it because of this site. I was sure it was cancer but now I know it is definitely due to surgery. I feel horrible all the time but forge on and enjoy my life every day.

You have femoral nerve damage related to the positioning

You have femoral nerve damage related to the positioning during your procedure. Check you operative nurses notes and see if they positioned you in candy cane stirrups. You need an EMG from a neurologist

Thanks Christy. Going to look into this further. Wow! I just happened here looking up hysterectomy and never ever considered the fact that the leg pains began after my surgery. I, like everyone else have tried and been treated with many medications and therapy, all to no avail. Stopped all medication because the pain never went away but I did get numb and crazy.

For the last four years, I have committed to a steady regimen of exercise and though the pain doesn't go away my ability to handle it gets better. I feel better just knowing that there might be someway to get relief. Humn...wonder why my physician never mentioned femoral nerve damage.

Cheers to you.

I thought I was going crazy! Then I thought people thought I was going crazy BUT I also have had pain with my joints and my knee feels like if I bend it to long it's going to burst because of the fluid buildup.... Have you found any answers??? I've had my drained 1 month ago but know there is more fluid build up.

I had my robotic hysterectomy on 9/28/17 and have many of the symptoms others have mentioned. I cry - can't do what I used to. However, I'm taking CBD oil (hemp) now. I take 3 drops of 1,000 mg 3 times a day. It helps. I haven't seen anyone mention it here. This is not the pot that makes you high. I never see anyone cured on here. Is there a chance of cure? Still hurt - whole leg.
