So I'm just kind of on alert lately due to a strange illness. About a week ago, I had a burning sensation upon urinating and then that night, I came down with a fever. The burning pain eventually gave way to an itch that, at times, was almost unbearable; it felt like it was near the prostate. So last Tuesday, I went to see the doctor who took a urine sample and performed other tests in that area and came to the conclusion that it was probably just a fluke. The fever had also cleared up by then. However, yesterday I woke up with a fever again, though much more mild then the first one. I woke up this morning and the fever was completely gone but I noticed that when I was toweling off after showering, the towel brushed up against that area and it hurt, but only a little bit. I'm not sure what's going on, there doesn't seem to be any swelling that I can tell (the testicle that hurts seems to be a little larger than the other but not by much.) I don't know what to do; I've read about torsion and given that I'm 17 it has me on edge a little. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hey take it from a man who has had torsions more than once, you'd feel intense testicle and gut pain or numb ballls from torsion, not burning pisssing or fevers. Nearly every man has painful pissses every once in a while for no reason, maybe the penis tube is just tight or sore from lots of masturbation and shooting off like all young guys do frequently and eagerly. An unexplained fever is more unusual if it was high like over 101 degrees. If you already got tested for the many different STDs or you haven't had sex with a partner at your age, then STDs which are the most likely causes of painful urination and fevers in sexually active young men is not the problem in your case. Dehydration in summer heat can cause both painful urination and fevers. Drinking more water and watching to drink enough to pissss out lighter colored urine and not dark urine can help protect against dehydration. If STDs are a risk for you from having great partner sex, then read up on sexually transmitted diseases and see if any match your symptoms and then see a dr. for the cure if needed. otherwise just keep a watch on your whole body and record anything wrong to tell your Dr. so he can get the whole picture on if anything is really wrong with you.
