I'm 13 and my lower left side really hurts, right above my hip bone. I have been in so much pain I was barely able to get out of bed this morning, my mom was going to take me to the emergency room ladt night because it hurts so bad. Any idea what it could be from? My health is normal, nothing unusual that leads me to think it has to do with something serious, it just started hurting. There is a small possibility I sprained it, although I have been moving heavy items into my room. I'm not sure what it could be from, but I have the same symtoms as most others do on here.

If anyone has a answer let me know, my side still hurts REALLY bad.:'(

I'm only 12 but a few months back i had a ruptured cyst on my ovarie and that can causebad pain, while i was at the hospital one of thier main concerns were that my ovaries had twisted and they didnt have any blood im no surgeon or anything but your best bet would be to get it checked out

Go and see the Doctor... Kidney Stones Another source of left side stomach pain can be kidney stones, and the fact that the pain originates in the left side indicates that the stone is passed from the left kidney. You might first experience a sharp pain in the back, which gradually (over a period of hours) moves into the front of the abdomen. If you think you have a kidney stone, you should head to the ER immediately in case it is too large to pass yourself. Infections and obstructions can threaten your life if this condition isn't treated.

Don't be scared to tell your parents. It may be scary but put yourself in their position. Would you be more scared that your child is in pain or more scared that your child is in pain and you have no idea. Plus it can get worse if you don't tell them because they can't get you help if they don't know you need help. We can give you advise about pain we have ourselves but we can't help you. Please just talk to your parents and tell them. Tell them where it hurts, how long its been hurting you, and when it started.

i am a 32 year old female with a history of chronic yeast, bacterial vaginosis & UTIs.( in good health otherwise), its 5:30 on saturday morning and im in bed googling my symptoms before going to the E.R.. 3days ago i had a terrible dull & sharp (if that makes sense) pain on my left side under my rib cage that radiated to my back, saw my dr.and she took a urine sample and said i have protien and blood in my urine but doesnt think its an infection.she actually told me i have Bacterial Vaginosis and made BV the focus of the visit.needless to say im fustrated.2days on these vaginal bacteria antibiotics and my back pain is the same if not worse.Report from lab came back for my urine and the dr. looked at it and said im fine.BUT IM NOT! my symptoms are: lower left back pain (actually like a dull cramp) tender slight pain in the front by pelvic bone. fells better to lay on back but even that is not working so well.only urinating 2 times a day now.ibprofin doesnt help.going to ER today because i cant take this anymore.

hey, instead of just saying I have the same symptoms, I believe it could be problems with your Psoas Major muscle. It may be strained or damaged in some way, which would lead to pain just inside the pelvis on whichever, and your lower back. As this muscle originates on the transverse processes and intervertebral discs between them of lumbar segments 1-5 (from memory) and inserts on the lesser trochanter of the femur. Covering the anterior of the pelvis (joining up with the iliacus muscle). It this is the case you will have trouble flexing the thigh at the hip, there may also be pain associated with straining, i.e. coughing, sneezing, going to the toilet (so may not be affecting your bowels in a way you think), also laughing can hurt quite a bit. My advice to you would be to see a physiotherapist or osteopath or whichever physical therapist you prefer, to help relieve the pain. They will also give you exercises to help relieve it yourself in the future. Hope this helps! and very much hope it's nothing more serious!
