Almost all of these posts sound like pilondial cysts. Some people are born with them, & while many never act up, others produce the exact symptoms mentioned here. My mother had problems with hers occasionally throughout her life. The first time it wouldn't drain, like the person here who suffered with a golfball-sized swelling. Ouch!! The first time my mom had to have hers lanced by the Dr, & as bad as it hurt, the relief was immediate. After that it would burst on its own. Use wet compresses, as warm as you can stand, at least twice a day. When it drains, use gauze with antibiotic cream & tape to keep it clean. If the cyst won't drain, or the infection is bad, please go see a doctor!

I have had it for a week, the doc said it was a cyst, he gave me 2 prescriptions with T3 for the pain. But since the doctor yesterday it has got much worse....should I continue the meds and give it time or go back to the doctor?

i have the same exact thing but mine can move. I got it yesterday or atleast felt the pain its a little smaller then a 50 cents coin. I have been trying to figure out wat it was all day and im embarrest to go to the doctor or even tell anyone about it

So a few days ago I noticed I had a small hard lump very close to my rectum a few days in it has greatly increased in size and is very tender on the skin I have difficulty standing up or sitting down I can not walk without looking like I have plugged a cat up my backside finding a comfy position to lye in bed is near impossible the pain is unbearable mostly it's becoming a massive pain in the ass no pun intended like seriously I wish it would just go away I can't go and drop the kids off because something as simple as wiping my ass after has become a steath mission I feel for anyone who is suffering like me right now it's not attractive on the plus side you could milk it a little have everyone run round for you because running round seems like a distant memory with a golf ball sat up you crack !!!

I have too. It has been a red spot from irritation from my jeans for half a year, but never hurt or was swollen. Now that I have been working a lot and sweating, and wore clothing that has rubbed on it it has gotten really bad. I can't sit on it, I have pain while waling and I feel it almost constantly as a stinging pain. It's at the bottom of my left butt cheek. Looking at it in a small mirror I couldn't locate any head I think. But it really protrudes and hurts like hell when I press it even slightly. It's on day two now, a lot worse than yesterday.
I have a severe anxiety for dressing off and doctors.. so it will sort of be the last way out if nothing else works. I have tried dipping my ass in very hot water for 10-15 minutes some times a day, I think it has helped, but I am unsure. I hate this... :(

I know this is late but that's a polonidal cyst. I had it in the exact same spot. If you don't get surgery to get the shell removed, then it will keep coming back. Draining it is temporary relief.

i had a couple of these top butt crack could not stand it finally got very sharp knife and well you know where that goes i put paper towel bounty :) to absorb blood which there is a lot of at the moment pain is going bumps or flat and i guess i will see how it goes ill update here as well oh yes it was painful the knife thing but not horrible and it was quick

I had the same problem and i was ignoring it but the pain made me go to the hospital they told me i had a pilondial cyst. so they cut it open and took all that bad blood and puss.
I feel so much better they also said if it comes back i have to get a surgery

I get the same thing except on my ass cheek, what you described was exactly what I get "cysts" they usually go away after awhile but if it stays for too long I recommend maybe a doctor.
