Hi everyone
Can any one help me out, A very good friend of mine is having is Pancreas out in a few weeks time, and I want to know what it entales. Also he is disabled and uses a wheelchair all the time, would this make it worse for him to live his life as normal, or would he start going down hill. I do hope he pulls through all this, cause he's a great guy.
Thanks a lot.

This surgery won't make him start going downhill at all. Without his pancreas, he's essentially going to be diabetic so he'll have to go on insulin but there are a lot of people who have to do insulin injections and he'll adapt to that pretty quickly I'm sure. I know that being diabetic is much easier now than it even was 20 years ago so I hope that you can be there to help him through this. Did you have any other questions?
