My 12 year old niece started to have trouble walking. She would be walking then lose control of her legs and fall. Then on the second day of this she could not walk at all. They took her to the hospital where they performed a MRI upon which showed a spot and then they did the second stage MRI and it showed nothing. What could this have been and should they follow up with another doctor?

She has been hospitalized for 10 days doing all kinds of tests including MRI, but doctors can't find the problem. If you don't mind, can you please share with me what's wrong with your niece?

I hope that your niece is feeling better and that you have resolved problem concerning temporary paralysis.
This condition is often just a sign of some other more seriously and potentially life-threatening disease. After this second MRI what was your next step? Have the doctors came up with some better solution?
As the lady above me already asked you the same thing I wanted to ask I wouldn’t want to repeat the same questions but I would like just add that I would be very grateful for your response as well.
