Hello. I'm 23 year old female and I'm interested to find out more information about one drug called Paremyd.
You see, about a month ago I first time notices some changes in my vision. I started to suffer from blurriness and couldn’t resolve pictures clearly that are just couple of feet away from me.
So, I contacted my ophthalmologist to do some tests. He did examined me eyes and told me that I definitely have some minor diopter but to be sure, I must come in few days to do complete test with some drug called Paremyd that she will put in my eyes. This sounded pretty scary for me! Does anybody know more about this drug and possible side effects?

Hello. I know how you are feeling right now because I felt exactly like you when I was scheduled for my first ophthalmologist examination.
To be honest with you, the examination is a bit unpleasant but definitely nothing you should worry about.
This Paremyd drug is combination of two other drugs called Hydroxyamphetamine and Tropicamide. All you should know about this is that this is medicine that is, when putted into your eyes, make your pupil larger. It also reduces your body's ability to adjust your eye for near vision. This will make a lot easier to your doctor to examine your eyes and small blood vessels in the bottom of your eyeball. The effect lasts for about 90 min. There are no side effects but you should tell your doctor if you have ever had any unusual or allergic reaction to some eye drops.

Just FYI - there can be side effects. My husband just landed himself in the hospital for 2 days after these drops were put in his eyes.  It caused a dramatic drop in his blood pressure and he passed out.  Now his eyes are painful (3 days later) and he can't bend over without pain in his head.
