So I'm 24, and I went to see my gynoc. because my period skipped one month. I suspected it was about to be 2, so I wanted to get it checked out. My last period was in May and it came right a fter my tonsillectomy. Well, she sent me to get a pelvic ultrasound because she was concerned I might have PCO. After the ultrasound, I got my period and was a little relieved because it had only skipped one month. Although the labs haven't come back yet, the scans revealed "a growth," so I'll need further testing. I have no idea what this could mean but I'm extremely worried. I just moved out of state right after the exam and am about to start graduate school. She wouldnt give me more information, and it's likely because she doesn't have any information, but I have no idea what to think. Does growth indicate a cancer of some sort? or worse? is it possible that it could be nothing? or does it have to be something?

not expecting any solid answers... just some insight into this.

I guess I should also mention that during my exam, she said everything felt normal, but I complained of some itching I've been having for about a month, so she prescribed something. Haven't filled it yet, and I haven't really been itching since my period started. my blood pressure was a little high she said, which I thought to be unusual. I've sensed that I've been under a lot of stress lately with working and moving, and graduate school upon me, but she seemed convinced at the time that it was hormonal.
