Last year I meet a new girl - we are in relationship until now. But in February we had anal sex and I got Chlamydia infection from this.
So, one week after anal sex I got burning pee sensation (Mainly morning), clear discharge from penis.
I went to Dr (urologist), he did swab test and after two weeks it comes back POSITIVE for Chlamydia and Urealplasma. He gives me Azithromycin 500mg for 3 weeks - but my symptoms still not go away.
After taking all Azithromycin pills, I had one week rest for my body - and then I went back to my Doc for swab test - it comes back again POSTIVE for chlamydia (I still had symptoms). Ureaplasma - negative.
After that, he gives me another Antibiotics - Roxithromycin 2x 150mg/day - and again, treatment for 3 weeks.
After this - my discharge fade out but I still had pain and burning sensation when I pee, some not-normaly discomfort in underwear. I told this situation to my Doc.
So he gives me Ciplox 500mg (Ciprofloxacinum) - and Again, for 3 Weeks. After this, again, one week rest for my body. And then I go back to swab test - It comes back negative - all STD are negative. But I have still not-normaly burning senstation, bad feeling in downwear after pee (mainly morning, when pee is more yellowish and after masturbation/sex).
My Girlfriend is also negative for all STDs, I looks like me - also negative for all STDs. So, I dont understand where is the point of problem ? Why I can still feel some burning senstation when I pee, when I squeeze my tip of penis or feel constantly some discomfort down ?
One thing what I see like reason can be a fact, that I was more frequently checked my urethra (squeeze) - if I had still some discharge. But I don't know if this can damage my urethra. But now its more like one month when I stop do this check.
It will be 3 weeks what I was done antibiotics treatment and burning sensation is still here. Now I'm traying eat some cranberries pills but it doesnt look like this will be helping for this problem.
Have everyone some idea what to try ? After some time, I want to go back to my doc and again make STDs check - for sure. But I don't know if this will be good for something, when I read, that many people here are negative for all STDs and symptoms still not go away.
Please, help. Thank you. (And sorry for my english).

1) do not read these blogs as they'll make you go nuts
2) normal human body requires atleast 2 liters of water everyday, if you're not drinking adequate water please make sure that you drink atleast 5 bottles (half liter) of water everyday
3) my doctor prescribed me cipro for a week, it's antibiotic, please ask your doctor if it's good for you
4) I even used this antifungal cream that I bought from Walgreens which I applied on the tip of my penis(it helped too)
After good week or so the burning sensation is gone, it comes back every now and then but it's not as bad as it was 2 weeks ago, hope this helps

Hey All. Possible answers here. Definitely will help you to be able to talk to your doctor/urologist.
I've had very similar symptoms as described by others:
Burning after ejaculation
Slight burning while urinating
Irritation after urinating
Occasional shooting/stabbing pain in urethra
Slight itch in urethra
Feeling like "something is in" my penis, and that I could just pull it right out the tip.
I've had this condition for a few years. I'm married & monogamous. My wife and I engage in oral sex and I have performed anal sex with her as well. There is a possibility that sexual practice is a contributing factor.
Tested negative for ALL STD's, including Trichomoniasis.
After extensive research, there is a set of infections that are caused by micro-organisms called myco- and ureaplasmas. These are related to chlamydiae but will NOT show up in standard STD testing. However, they can cause similar types of problems as seen in chlamydia.
Treatment options vary, with the MERCK Manual offering the most comprehensive overview.
I encourage you to read up on this and add this knowledge to your overall plan to treat this uncomfortable condition.
In addition to the above, there are other potential causes for urethral irritation, including:
- Trichomonias (Very common, though not commonly tested for. You have to ASK to be tested for this, though it is one of the most common std's in the US. It's not reportable, meaning that if a partner had it, you wouldn't be contacted as a result. Get tested for this.)
- Acidic urine (as a result of an acidic diet. Cut out caffeine, soda, and other acidic drinks.)
- Urethral Pain Syndrome
OK, hope this helps. Good luck in managing this. Don't panic - especially if you've been tested clear of STD's. Worse case, you have Urethral Syndrome and you need to start doing yoga to relax and manage the pain and stress.
The body is science. Approach this in a scientific manner, and you'll eventually solve or manage this!
