Cranberry, its a funny thing, I got that same "IM CLEAN, DONT CALL ME AGAIN" reaction out of my biggest mistake. You dont live in NC by chance do you. Ive wondered if she was going around intentionally infecting unassuming men.

Im about 5 days into my Azithromycin treatment and my symptoms have reduced significantly. I still get the stinging feeling in the tip and full bladder feeling, but I can actually take my mind off it now if Im occupied with something else. I have another idea that Ive been looking into, maybe it would help. Colloidal Silver is an over-the-counter product. It has been proven to fight all types of infection, bacteria, viruses, even cancer. I havent found any good studys on dropping it directly into urethra, but orally it is very safe and effective. I might try one drop on the tip tonight to see what it does. Wish me luck..

How did that work? And what have all of the symptoms you've had? I'm dealing with similar stuff if not the same..

Well before 1 year ago, I had no health problems ever. I was strong, and in great shape. I started out a year ago with the burning and stinging in the tip and frequent urination. Those symptoms have been constant. I've also had lower back pain, testicular pain, prostate pain, groin pain and penile pain, eye and sinus infections. I also have had a terrible nerve/ muscle pain in left forearm and in left foot. Now my foot is very painful after standing for a just short while. The doctors all say this is not related to std, but Ive read that infection can cause nerve pain and arthritis in feet, or maybe the meds (cipro) have caused the foot pain. I feel like I'm dying. I've been tested for Gonorrhea, Chlamydia, Syphilis, Herpes, HIV, UTI, HEP A, B, and C. Multiple tests for all and they all have been negative. Been treated with doxy, rocephin, cipro for 1 month and now I'm on azithromycin for 2 weeks. The symptoms always seem to get better with antibiotics, but always come back within weeks. I've been to 4 different doctors and 2 Urologists. I Will be seeing a new Urologist in a few weeks if symptoms persist. I started using colloidal silver orally and have dropped it into urethra a couple times. No major changes yet. It does seem like the symptoms get better if I don't ejaculate for many days. Then it comes back immediately after sex or mstrbation. My wife is also on Azithromycin and we've been using condoms to try to rule out the partner reinfection factor. She's never had any symptoms, and she hasn't been tested since all mine have been negative. She is going to a gyno soon to get checked out. My wife has been forgiving and understanding, I owe her everything for having to go through this due to my stupid behavior.

SO now Ive finished the 2 week treatment of azithromycin. My symptoms are 95% gone now. Although, most previous treatments made it better too but it still came back. But this time my wife did the treatment and we have used condoms for any relations. Im still going to wait another month to see if the symptoms come back on their own or go away for good. One other note, I take antacids a lot for heartburn, I read that they can neutralize antibiotics and make them useless. I've suffered through the heartburn to make sure the antibiotics don't lose potency. Also, still using colloidal silver.

Sorry it took so long to respond I've been super busy. I'll make sure I get back to your sooner from here on out.. So again a quick run down, how did you get this problem again and how long exactly have you had it? I've taken azithromycin before but I think it was only for one week.. Do you think that's why it had little/no affect on me? I've been dealing with this for so long and I just want it to be gone forever.. The girl I had been with said she was clean and had no symptoms either and this was all from oral sex.. Also besides all those symptoms you were getting did you ever have a cold sensation in your genitals.. like the feeling of a dogs wet nose or just getting out of the pool?

Unfortunately just a few days after completing the azithromycin my symptoms returned and I was in a lot of pain. I haven't had any sex for a month so I know this time that I haven't been reinfected, but this is something that continues to haunt me. It was so bad that I couldn't sleep. I started looking at prostatitis.org forums and found that a sitz bath relieved the pain enough to go to sleep. I went back to my doctor to discuss more options. Hes been great but now hes about out of ideas. Ive tested negative for trich in the past, but he gave me prescript for metronidazole 500mg since thats about the only thing I haven't tried. Im also on levoflaxin 500mg now. 2 days in, my symptoms are much better. Why does the antibiotics always help, but never eradicate the problem? If this doesn't fix it, my next stop is the prostate research center at a state university that is an hour away. Im going to pursue this to the end and if I can find anything I want to help.

Yes mystery, I wasn't logged in for some reason. So hows it going for you. Im about 10 days into my levoflaxin/metronidazole dose. The levoflaxin relieves almost all of my symptoms, but I can tell when its about time for another dose. I especially get perineal pain when Im driving for an hour or more. I think that the pain will return with vengeance after the Levoflaxacin is gone.
The metronidazole is making me sick, Im thinking of stopping it. In 10 days it should have killed trich or about anything else. Its got my mouth tasting like its full of battery acid.
Ive been looking at another possibility. I found that interstitial cystitis is not so common in men, but often mistaken for prostatitis.
Im starting to worry about all the antibiotics Ive taken over the past year. What king of damage is it doing to my organs? Im really depressed that this is such an untreatable disease. Its ruining my life now.

Hey everyone, it's been awhile, but I'm back. Just figure that I'd update.

I havent been going to doctors lately. I havent been going because it seems that the pain/itching/aches have been subsiding.  The inflammation, burning urination, aches, shooting pains, itching are nowhere near as strong as it was, so this whole thing has kinda slipped my mind.

But it's not gone completlety. Right now, I have a slight but constant itch inbetween my left leg and thigh and there's a slight burn when I start urinating, but it usually stops before I finish.

I just hope it's not herpes or anything worse.  Anyway, like I said, im still here and I'll still try my best to help in any way that I can.

Have you been tested for herpes and all other possible stds?

I am 14 and I have the same thing ever since i was 4 or 5 in fact I have it today that is why I'm here to see if someone knows how to make it stop until tomorrow at 2:30 I'm going to the Doctors.

I only have the burning symptoms but its still enough to stop me from what im doing everytime i have to urinate. It takes about 10-30mins for the pain to go away completely untill i have to urinate again. Has anyone got a reliable way of easing the symptoms yet? i read in a much earlier post that some would ease and maybe stop the symptoms completely, can anyone prove or disprove this? the only way i have found to help with this problem is smoking some of the good stuff, dont know if anyone else has expiranced this too.
