Recreationally, I will once in a while take 10mgs of Percocet with a six pack. It is true this can increase liver damage if done frequently, but in moderation it won't hurt. again, a few beers (less than 8) is all I have ever done with the Percs...I kind of feel like shots may do some damage with them. It's more of a relaxed night in on the couch kind of a buzz...Not really anything you want to do if "Partying Hard" is the goal. I also have a very high tolerance to depressants or "downers" and alcohol due to my body chemistry, so I react well with them and enjoy the buzz. On the contrary, I can't take "uppers" of any kind including even caffeine because I am entirely to energetic and high strung as it is. Everyone will react differently so proceed with caution and maybe try just one beer and see how you're doing with it an hour or two later.

DO NOT take Percoset and Alcohol! I recently received several percoset from a friend who did not need them after his knee surgery. I thought it would be fine to use them recreationally. In the course of 3 weeks while drinking heavy on party nights- I blacked out twice- passed out a party at the bar- then fell off my stool. Then another night I took home a guy from my local bar - and didn't remember his name the next day and had obviously slept with him even though I barely remember anything. THEN the final wake up call was something I remembered- I had been to an art opening - had about 4-5 wines- came home made dinner - then while cleaning the dishes I tripped over my throw rug- fell face first into a chair and split my head open. Luckily I was not blacked out or out of it- I managed to clean myself up and head to ER. These are all unusual incidents that all happened while mixing alcohol and percoset. Some of the scariest c**p that has ever happened to me. LUckily my friend helped me to the ER- cleaned up the blood from my fall -- and flushed the remaining percosets down the toilet.
You are playing roulette with your life by mixing these two. Think of Whitney, Heath and many others who die after mixing prescriptions.
DO NOT DO IT!!!!

I think that you should avoid mixing the two if either you drink alcohol heavly or are taking a large dose of percocet in a day. I have had different experiences with mixing the two so now I'm more cautious. I know that tylenol is dangerous in high levels because of liver failure/damage and also abusing alcohol can cause cirosis/liver damage. In short, both cause damage to your liver in excess amounts, so OVER doing both is even more dangerous. I have taken 1 or 2 pills of 5/325, and drank about a 12 pack and was feeling ok. But I also have taken about 8 5/325 pills and drank about 2 beers and was feeling woozy and nasious. But everyones body is different and everyone reacts different depending on MANY factors (how bad someones liver is, tolerance to opiates, weight, age, allergic reactions, etc). So my advice is if your planning on drinking heavly DONT take more than 1 or 2 percs. Or better yet, DO A Cold Water Extraction to take out the tylenol and have less negative effect on your liver. That way the alcohol is the only thing really damaging your liver. Yeah, DO A COLD WATER EXTRACTION to minimize the liver is my BEST recommendation, but do remember that opiates slow your heart and so does alcohol, so use with caution, cause doing to much Percs in one dose can send you into a coma. So do at YOUR OWN RISK cause I'm not a doctor, just an average joe like you ;)

In an effort to use my firsthand experience and knowledge (or lack thereof) to reply to the guy asking us not use opinions (he nay be right about that) I'll give my two cents, consult a physician though (they have a confidentiality agreement and won't tell on you) however they may discontinue your meds so maybe ask one who isn't your GP

I have a fractured vertibrae and two hermniations and have one perc left, I drank two drinks to enhance the effect and thus hopefully aleviate the severe pain. I have in the past, drank to excess and taken a dozen or more percs with no problems, however I did not know of any bad interactions at that time and I was using recreationally. I have a high opiate tolerence for example...I got 100 T3s last month and they gone, along with 60 robaxacet, some more T3s that I bought and 40 percs, they are all gone, before u call me a junkie take into account that before my recent back problems I took nothing for months and even when I would use them, 30 percs would last 6 months as I like them on occasion.

I'm not a druggie really but since my recent back issues I've picked up substantially.

I know four ppl now who've died from Oxys and their derivitives however, the details and amount they took and combinations are not clear. I rarley take more than two percs at a time and very rarely drink at all but at this point I would eat catpoop if it would relieve this pain...

I came here to see if the 2 drink adn a perc was considered dangerous as I'm a litlle concerned after friends have died....

I gotta recommed not doing percs etc at all and hypocritcally suggest not to combine alcohol with meds but I feel for those in pain. Doctors think that a 95 lb old lady and a 245lb young man should get the same relief frompercs or t3s etc and therefore 100 T3s should last 3 months even though it says I can take up to 6 a day, if you do the math that's a little over a month's worth

Don't do it, especially for fun it's not worth it...

Hi! seeing as how this post was made about a year ago im assuming if you may have already tried it by now. I just wanted to let everyone here know that it is very DANGEROUS! I drank 3 beers and snorted a percocet (and yes, I am absolutely positive that it was percocet and I opened each beer and had it beside me the entire time so nobody slipped me anything) and was having extremely bad hallucinations that I was dying and that an angel was lifting me up and trying to take me away and literally thought that I was going to die. I was laying there praying that I would not die that night. I have tried many drugs in my lifetime and this is by far the worst possible mixture. Since then I have not touched any sort of drug or anything because my life is more important to me than having a fun night. Percs and Alcohol are a DEADLY mixture so please do not do it! It is not worth the risk!!! Drugs really should not be abused at all. Please take my story into consideration.and I hope none of you try this !!!!! :(

These powerful drugs can create a feeling of euphoria, cause physical dependence, and, in some people, lead to addiction. Prescription painkillers also cause sedation and slow down a person’s breathing. A person who is abusing prescription painkillers might take larger doses to achieve a euphoric effect and reduce withdrawal symptoms. These larger doses can cause breathing to slow down so much that breathing stops, resulting in a fatal overdose.

My friend likes to have a drink or two on perks, makes him nice and fuzzy he says. I think the issue is drinking "normal" amounts of booze as though you aren't on percoset.

I ate one and had a shot of vodka to see what it feels like, I won't be drinking a lot on them ever though, that's moronic.
