Following posts I tried improving posture and it seems to help - kills two birds, gets rid if the tingling and helps me stand straight. Hope it continues to work xxxx

Haha..This has also affected me for nearly two years now...Funny thing is, when i drink alcohol the tingling feeling disappears..Until the next morning then it starts all over again..I also find that during a work out the pain disappears and reappears when my body cools down...I hope some one comes up with something soon..Because if this symptom does not kill you then stressing about it will!!! Good Luck Every One :)

Lately I have been considering Raynaud's phenomenon or syndrome or disease as the likely cause even though the Mayo clinic stresses hands and feet. I occasionally get my right hand going white when cold periodically, not consistently. The numbness in my back is on the right also. I have a history of using devices that vibrate with my right hand, since reading about Raynaud's, I have reduced the amount of force I apply when using vibrating devices and the length of time of use. I get the numbness in my back and hand much, much less often now. Related? Maybe.

I have this but on the left side, my osteo told me it is due to my poor posture, which means the nerve endings in the back get stretched

Most of you are likely experiencing this tingling because nerves are being pinched, which is often due to something as simple as poor body alignment. When your limbs are not moving in the planes they were designed to, bad things start to happen. It's kind of like cutting wood against the grain; not a smooth process, and fibers get agitated. This can be caused by an actual injured intervertebral disk, or just poor posture which is be greatly affected by weak back/abdominal muscles. A chiropractor might make you feel better temporarily, but physical therapist would be the best person person to diagnose and treat this condition long term. They will likely educate you on proper body position/movement and prescribe you strenthening exercises. In our sedentary world, too many assume that muscles continue doing their job even if they are not regularly exposed to resistancex. Do some push ups, friends :) -with proper form, of course!

I have had a tingling pain at my right shoulder blade for the past 3 weeks. Mine is from an injury though. I slipped on ice and fell flat on my back. I slammed my head on the ground and ended up with a concussion and my shoes landed 15 feet in front of me. I have already had 2 spinal surgeries at L5/S1 I'm almost at my 1 year anniversary of my 2nd surgery. My lower back has no pain but I think I did something to the top. Luckily I already have an appointment with my spinal doctor in a few weeks.

Try loosening your tight pant belts or anything constricting your waist. Or do stomach exercises (just pulling in and then out will do). It helps me.

I have this too, thanks to this thread I searched "shingles without a rash" and it seems this could be the explanation. I have had shingles before so I know my tingling sensation and back pain are in the same exact location as my shingles rash was. It's possible to confirm this with blood work if anyone is interested in doing that. Mine started after having my baby which was a highly stressful event. I'm going take time out to meditate each day, take extra vitamins, get enough sleep, and pray for you all to be well! Thank you for sharing in this thread it was helpful and comforting to read of your experiences! God bless!

I also have the same issue of feeling like needle pinch at my back for a time then it goes away. It bothers sometime and I do not know what that is. Is there anything to be alarmed?

I've been healing up from Sciatica, most all that pain is gone after the 2nd re-injury 3 months ago, as that was going away, I've developed this annoying tingling in my opposite side left shoulder, like everyone on here is dealing with. I've been using a tens device on my lower back for about 5-6 months for the Sciatica.
Yesterday was the first day I didn't use the tens in all that time, and my shoulder tingling was 90% reduced???
Maybe that tens unit was doing something with the nerves?
Anyhow, today is day 2 with no tens, the tingling is intermittent and I pray and hope it is subsiding.
Thanks to the person here that gives some positive comments about it going away and not to freak out..
Definately worring about stuff isn't going to help, its' really sometime mind over matter, focusing on good things in your life, and trying not to focus on the issue at hand, the body is always trying to heal itself.
Stay positive and busy and hang in there... :O)
