Hi.. i am worried.. while picking up my newborn ..i have hands supporting her neck and head but i sort of stumble and sort of picked her up rather quick .. from the crib to my shoulder.... in one direction...
i regained my footing and it was fine...
will this sudden increase in velocity cause any harm

i doubt it will cause any harm, our bodies are well designed to cope with all sorts of movements such as deceleration.

keep an eye on her and if you notice anything wrong take her to the doctor. have a chat to your health visitor next time they come and see you - she'll be able to give you some reassurance.

congratulations with the baby :-)
