I have read about many people having problems with large, red, puss filled pimples in their toddler's genital area. Everyone is blaming them on pullups and I just want you all to know that is not what it is. My son is 2 years old and when he was 21 days old he was diagnosed with MRSA on his penis. He was seeing a urologist for quite some time because they found out the MRSA, which caused his penis to swell and caused him to not be able to urinate without a catheter, had created a pocket in the tip of his penis that collected urine. He had that removed last April and he was fine until January of this year. In January the pimples began to show up (on his butt, legs, thights, pubic region) so we took him to the hospital. MRSA can live up to two years in a person's system and this is what is reappearing just under 2 years past the time he was first diagnosed with MRSA. The doctor said to just keep coming back and they will cut them open and put drains in to drain out all of the infection. They do put him on a medicine (I cannot remember the name of it, but it's like $100 everytime we have it filled) and the medicine works for a couple of months and then the pimples start again. I read on someone's post to use antibacterial soap and I am going to go to the store tomorrow and buy some for him in hopes that this will cure the problem.

If I were you I would take him back to the doctor because it sounds like MRSA.I have personally seen it on people myself and from what your describing that's what it sounds like. Not sure about the soap have not ever heard of it before but I know a family member of mine had it 5 or 6 years ago and she just got it back this week so as far as I know it can stay in your system for years or your entire life and can pop up any time.Best of luck.
