Hi, I just wanted to let you know that you are not alone! I have been experiencing these exact symptoms for three years now.
You have perfectly described my own sensations of leg numbness, pins and needles (prickling in arms, fingers, legs, points of face and neck), blurred vision and dizziness, feeling fatigued and achey, sometimes shaking hands, loss of coordination when trying to pick things up or move my arms, my legs seem to stop working at times…
My first experience of these symptoms had my doctor rushing me off to hospital with suspected stroke, I have seen a specialist Neurologist and had numerous MRI and CT scans done, had every test you can think of to identify any deficiencies, toxins, thyroid problems etc etc … and although some of the symptoms are similar my Doc has ruled out MS.
I have come to refer to the onset of these symptoms as “episodes”. I experience a major “episode” on an annual schedule around the same time each year, but I can have less severe “episodes” at any time including if I have been run down following a cold or other illness. The episodes last anywhere from 3-10 days through to weeks on end (current episode has been going on since 27 Dec 2013 – some days I can’t get out of bed and others I feel OK with just annoying prickling and numbness in hands and arms).
The Neurologists have identified it as a disorder to my Central Nervous System although they do not know what is causing it or how to definitively treat it.
So where to from here? You are on the right track with trying to stay positive! I try to look on the bright side and be thankful every time they can rule out another nasty potential cause - i.e. stroke, brain tumour
It is a very scary thing to go through when you don’t know what is causing it or how long it will last for, or if it will get worse. I find massage helps but this may just be because it calms me.
Keep a diary of your symptoms this will come in handy for ongoing investigation and potential treatment.
Stay strong and please let me know if you find any further answers.

I feel like you are describing exactly what I am experiencing. Did I you get any feedback from your doctor. This is so frustrating. my b12 levels were low so I got a shot yesterday. I felt better for about an hour or two. My right arm goes numb and tingles. It's becoming painful. To make things worse i get sick to my stomach periodically.

misaligned pelvis? maybe see a chiropractor or seek acupuncture treatment I have had similar symptoms for past two years now. GP sent me to every kind of specialist and they all turned around and said to my GP that it was all in my head so she sent me to a psychologist but by that time I went to get some acupuncture for the head aches and persistent pins and needles, he then sent me to see a chiropractor and it turned out my pelvis was misalignment by an inch. Very expensive business though seeing a chiropractor.

Friend,
I have the symptoms described above for the last 3 weeks, it's scaring something chronic! It also happens to me when I write, starts from the shoulder works down the arm to the fingers. I also have had a lot of cramps in my legs not as periodic as the lass below you but I'm curious why this is happening..... I'm also away to the Doctors tomorrow but I feel that it's going to be hospital, blood test, scans, waste of time with no hypothesis.

. I have the neuropathy in my feet and hands they go numbing, burning and constantly hurting. I am not diabetic either. I was just diagnosed with it. I would do some research though. It is also in my right knee cause of an serious injury I had back in 2008. My feet burn every day and all day. My fingers cramp up as well sometimes and I always have spams in my feet and knees. I hope you find out what is going on though. Also if it isn't neuropathy. Check other illness that are out there.

I would have them check for Guillain barre syndrome it can go misdiagnosed. Most doctors don't know what Guillain barre syndrome is. Hope you find out what is going on.

Lucy, will keep you in our prayers. I just had a friend who went to heaven she was misdiagnosed for awhile and ended up with MS. It was way to late for treatments. My husband has Guillain barre syndrome he went a month being misdiagnosed there is no cure for this either. There is just IVIG treatments to slow it all down but my husband was left with a lot of damages and we are going into this in July 30 two years. Don't give up and keep fighting.

Don't know if anyone will still read this, but it's worth a post. It sounds to me like hypocalcemia and drinking plenty of milk will only help for an hour or so as obviously an underline problem with the pathathyroid gland means the body is not producing enough of it own calcium to keep your muscles working. The time you really have to start panicking is when your hands start turning in one then selves and your face goes numb, then it's time to call an ambulace. Hope you found out what was wrong :)

Absolutely!!!!!!!! Aspartame is LETHAL!
It's happened to me 3 times, unknowingly I had tic tacs and diet coke, I stopped ingesting it and it's fixed. Do a detox, will take 2-3 months, back to normal, be patient.
