Hello,

You are totally right! I got my first pityriasis rosea rash when I was 16 and you can imagine how that impacted my life. I was a mocking spot for even the kids younger than me and it basically led me into depression that I'm still trying to deal with. Acyclovir works because there is some research that suggests that we pretty much have over-reaction to herpes simplex virus: instead of just getting a cold sore like most people, we get this. I haven't tried with erythromycin, but I sure will. It might make sense that there are some bacteria that we're over-reacting too. To be honest, I'm sick of steroids, they've completely messed up my periods over the years I had no other choice but to use them.
