what is polips realted to cervix?

Loading...

Polyps on the cervix are harmless benign growths that appeared at the beginning of the uterus. Although harmless, they could cause bleeding during sexual intercourses.

They don’t represent cancer risk and women who have cervical polyps are not more prone to developing cervical or any other cancer. In very rare cases, they may represent the beginning of cancer.
In some women, cervical polyps may fall off by themselves during a period or an intercourse. If this happens, you may notice a huge bloody clot or something similar. In other women it needs to be removed by a doctor. They are being removed on an outpatient basis using electrocautery or laser vaporization.
They may appear again but on other places on the cervix but they will not reoccur.

It is thought that cervical polyps grow after an infection, chronic infections and inflammations.
