Hi. :-) A colonoscopy is a rather simple procedure. You doctor will have you drink a type of laxative medication the day before your procedure to help clean out your system. This is so they can easily see your intestines to get an idea of what is going on in there. when you have your procedure and if your doctor is any good, they will give you a medication to relax you, which also can make you sleep. When they do this, you have NO IDEA what is going on at the time of the procedure. After the procedure you may feel alittle discomfort from the camera going up and in. You may also either have constipation or diarrhea as well. This is all normal! As for your Gyn appt, you should be ok with getting your injections, but I would always call them BEFORE your appointment to verify that the injection will be ok. (please let them know you are having a colonoscopy) If any questions or concerns after the procedure, please call your doctor. Good luck!
