I'm 33 weeks pregnant and had a tummy tuck approx 8months before we conceived, so far everything has been better then my previous 2 pregnancy's. I started showing around 7 months and have stayed quite trim. a couple of little stretch marks around my belly button. but no pain.

I am 24 weeks and had a tummy tuck approx 2 years ago. My stomach is not as big as it was in my previous pregnancies (I've had two), but it is very tight. I have experienced alot of fatigue and shortness of breath. I am concerned about getting new stretch marks (so far there are no new ones). I also worry about what my stomach will look like after I have the baby. Just will have to wait and see how my stomach holds up.

Hi,
I have really bad stretchmarks on my belly and am looking to have a tt, but I am only 20 and am worried about becoming pregnant again in years to come, I know 20 is young to be having a tt, and it isn't because I am vein, I am just so unhappy with my belly and don't feel I should have to hide my belly at my age!
I was just worried that if I do get the tt and then get pregnant a few years later, is it all going to be a waste as I seem to be a magnet for stretchmarks
Thanks

i had three children years ago and 5 years ago had a tummy tuck for the same reasons as you. it was the best thing i ever did. (surgeon dr karidis in london, hes the best!!)
I got to 40 new partner and both got broody, im 39 weeks pregnant and so far nothing bad from tummy tuck, hardly a stretch mark in sight, very shocked as expected it to all go pop lol. getting bit of pulling where feels like stomach muscles are tender. can keep you updated as to what happens after.

Hi I had a TT 11 years ago with my last baby ( so I thought) and loved it!! Iam now 30 weeks pregnant with a healthy baby boy (iam 43) and this has been a bit painful...I hardly show at all ..people still dont know iam pregnant most the time..I can still wear my prepregnancy jeans because my lower waist hasnt really changed size ..baby is so high...Baby is inside my back sides ribs...short of breath all the time...its hard to eat because it makes the symptoms worse...I have gained 15 pds and No stretch marks at all (knock on wood)yet....I do take pain meds for the stretching (as perscribed by my doc) I will have a abdominal surgeon and specialists doing my c sec (6th one) My TT was an insurance paid proceedure because of scare tissue adhering to my vital organs it was very invasive and required a 4 day hospital stay....Baby is growing fine and i hope my tummy will "bonce back"

Hello

After reading all these posting it kind of scares me because I am trying to get pregnant. I had medical problems with my tt and will never have another one. But truely on a scale to 1 to 10 how bad is the pain when your stomach muscle are stretching.

Wow! Thanks for your stories ladies! I had a tt 18 months ago & at the time there was no way I wanted more kids after my 2nd turned 5. Lately I've been thinking about it HEAPS though. I love having a nice tummy again & hate the thought of all that money & pain going to waste...but I don't want to regret not having a 3rd down the track. Can anyone tell me how their stomach was after the post tt baby (apart from stretch marks)? Was your tummy less or more stretched/saggy as a result of the tt before last bub? Did you need another tt?

Also, to the lady wo fell pregnant on the day of surgery, I really hope all goes well for you!! Keep us all posted!

I had a tummy tuck about 2 years ago. I too thought we were done having kids. My husband wants another child -- and I am thinking about it too. I am curious about what will happen to my skin? I suppose I could always have another tt -- but, I am wondering if my stretch marks will be too bad (especially on the top of my stomach). I didn't have any stretch marks with my first 2 kids -- but, my stomach is very tight now. I am worried my stomach will be scarred all over?

Has anyone had this experience? I would really appreciate any insight?

I had a tummy tuck June 1, 2007. I am 4 weeks pregnant now..so i too am alittle concerned how it will be once i get bigger. However my Dr. did tell me once your muscles are completely healed (a year after operation) it would be fine....skin may be tight as those of us who have had a TT dont have any lose skin to stretch......im wondering is natural childbirth even an option or do we have to have a c-section? I had a c-section with my last baby in 2006 so i do have that option but would like to try natural if possible...anyone know about this?

I have 3 kids already...Im pretty young but I recently decided I want another baby to try for a 2nd girl since my daughter wants a sister very badly. I had a tummy tuck with muscle restoration= [permanent sutures] 4 1/2 months ago. Most women dont know that when you have the muscles repaired, the sutures dont disolve! Im wondering what would happen in my case...will my muscles actually rip apart?? %-)

I have had a tt, not so worried about the skin but the hard scar. It hold up the tissue above the scar and it is really hard. I am afraid it can press the uterus and make the featus have oxygyn problems or make the uterus get unnatural shape. It is a really hard scar and it is holding loads of tissue up!
