I had a tummy tuck last June of 2010, after having 3 children and by Sept 1st found out my IUD failed us. We were through having children! I was quite devastated because I had paid a good deal of money and was finally happy with the way my body looked. I am now 37 weeks pregnant and the pregnancy has been much easier then my previous three. I didnt start showing till about 6 months and have had no major pain. I am carrying very high, stomach is very tight and have had difficulty breathing since I was 5 months. The only difference is my belly button sticks way out due to the pregnancy :S  Have not felt any ripping yet. I look about 7 months pregnant at the most and have only gained 16 pounds. I also have no stretchmarks yet! I am hoping that my tummy will bounce back quickly and the Dr. said I might not even need a revision. I dont know what Dr. would horrify any woman by telling them the baby wouldnt be able to grow, they should abort, etc. Baby has grown fine despite the tightness and looking so small. Good luck to anyone who is going through a pregnancy after tummy tuck! You will be fine. Watch your weight and enjoy your blessing!

this last comment posted on 4/3/12 sure made me feel a whole lot better. i had a tummy tuck with hernia repair in january and was pregnant barely 6wks post op. now i'm 11 weeks pregnant and just curious as to how things are going to turn out down the line. so far my only issue is the super tightness of my upper abdomen everytime i ingest anything no matter how soft. (although that my be due to my new stomach size, i had a gastric sleeve surgery in 2010 which reduced my stomach size to abt 6oz) i'm keeping my fingers crossed for a healthy pregnancy.

I had a tummy tuck 6 years ago and am currently 8 months prgnant. Everything that I have read say there are NO complications, even my doctors have told me that there should be no complications. But now my baby wont turn and is breech and they are concerned it's due to the tummy tuck since my first child (pre tummy tuck) turned with no issues. But that is only a guess.

Omgosh! I've been reading and reading and so glad I just got to yours. I have three children all c-sections. I had reconstruction done on my right breast due to breast cancer but very unhappy because the implant is rock hard. So I recently called about trans flap surgery. My huge concern was because a tummy tucks involved and what if I want one more baby? Thanks for sharing

Lucky mom... please let me know how you're doing post pregnancy. Yours is the closest situation I've found to mine... I had DIEP flap surgery nine weeks ago to reconstruct my breasts after BC and a double mastectomy - which includes a tummy tuck. I just found out I'm pregnant, and am wondering if I'll be able to carry this baby to full term, if my stomach is strong enough, not to mention all the chemo drugs that are probably still in my system. Here's to you and your baby!

Hi. I don't know if u already had your babies but I wanted to know how your pregnancy went after you delivered your twins. I am thinking about getting my tubal reversal so that I can get pregnant again. I had a tt 15 years ago. Any info would be great. Thank you.

I have the same scar issues but my tt was almost ten years ago and I never had the scar revision surgery. I am now 9 weeks pregnant and really worried about how the scar will hold up and how much the stretching will hurt as I grow. Also worried about my "fake" belly button and how it will hold up. This post got rid of a lot of my anxiety! Thank you so much!

Eh, I had 2 stubborn breeches myself pre-tummy tuck. And external versions-when they try to turn it do seem like they would be more difficult after a tummy tuck, but mine just flipped right back to where they were anyway and they HURT LIKE THE DICKENS!!! I ended up with c-sections and they definitely were better than the unsuccessful external versions. BTW-at 8 mos, my first was breech but he turned on his own before his due date just fine. It was the last two who wouldn't stay put! No

Just wanted to follow up with you since this post, how did everything continue to go with your pregnancy? I had a tt 7 years ago and am thinking of IVF hoping for twins.......be brutally honest on how you felt during the pregnancy, how your tummy held up, and if therr were
any complications in your pregnancy, especially in the last part....thx!

I would reaaally love to know about the rest of the story. How did your pregnancy go? I got my tummy tuck done at Dr. Marcus Niessen's clinic in Windsor a year back. I want a baby and I'm not quite sure if that would be safe enough! Thoughts??
