Pregnancy Symptoms While On Depo!? Could I Be?

I 2 have been feeling the same. had my 1st injection on the 03/07/12 as i was having my implant removed due to constant bleeding . had a period on the 17/08 which lasted a week, me and my boyfriend after my period have had unprotected sex serval times, for the last week I been feeling very bloated, nausea, headache's dizzyness and have gone off certain things, I have also had to take antibiotcs for my eczema as its came up quiet serve, how ever i did spotting for one day an since that day i been feeling so heavy in my stomache, was due for my 2nd shot today an told the nurse what been happening done a preg test an came out negative, so i had my injection , but im still convinced something is not right, my stomache feels massive even when i havent eaten! so im gunna wait a few more weeks an keep a diary on how i feel! but glad im not alone!

bloating, fatigue, appetite change, are all symptoms of the depo shot. I am on my third round of injections (about to go get my fourth) and have not had a period since my third injection..which is also normal. if you are worried about being pregnant, you may want to go to the doctor because it IS possible...unlikely, but possible. and it is HIGHLY unlikely all three previous posts are all having the same symptoms and pregnant....but seriously..go to the doctor!

I had unprotected sex a week before starting the depo provera shot and 3 days later.

2 weeks after getting the shot I had a brownish discharge. A few days later it had progressed to light, bright coloured bleeding then heavy bleeding and there were some clots, abdominal cramps and back pains that were more severe than my normal period pains.

Most people compare these pains with labour pains, but I don't know what that feels like, bcos due to complications during labour my pains with induced with medication.

This continued for about 2 weeks, and it all ended with the brownish discharge on sunday the 30th September 2012. I haven't had a pregnancy test. I'm afraid to take it. I didn't think it would be necessary as I did have 2 depo shots.

To me I feels as though I'm pregnant. I did feel very tired,and sluggish and I had acid re flux same as my 1st pregnancy before I started bleeding. And I've noticed a dark line down from my belly button to just above my pelvic area much like when I was pregnant with my Lg.

Much of what u have said makes sense to me.

I would still appreciate it if I could get an opinion on the similarities of my "prolonged period" and a miss miscarriage. I really thought I was on my period, and researching this whole week made me realise that I could be the latter.

And becos of this I feel guilt and anger at myself, as sense of relief I might not be pregnant as my financial situation is not the best currently.

I really need advice, I do realise I would have to go see my dr.

Really though what u posted is helping me to try and change this feeling of pregnancy into a feeling of not being pregnant.

I hope that when u do read this post that you'd understand what I have written and that I makes sense.

I have all the symptoms as well. im nauscious too but not throwing up. im not taking a pregnancy test though because i have had many scares and im not going to buy another one for it to tell me im not. so im researching it to find out the statistics to try to calm me a little on the subject. It wouldnt be a disaster if i got pregnant but my fiance and i just got engaged and i want it to be only us for awhile. so to all the people who have bought pregnancy tests and tried them, is there and actualy pregnancy reading that wont screw up no matter the hormones from depo?

i have the same thing and i have 2 kids and all started the same as this and both times i got nagitive resalts on preg test so o to a doctor as soon as you can to be safe ok and it almost sounds like your misscarrieing

I lost a baby over 5months ago now, but had my first depo injection 3months ago. Since the same day of the depo I have spotted blood some little some more heavy but only spotting. It made me sick to the point I couldn't eat without being sick etc and I always bleed during sex. My injection is due to run out. From the last time I had sex though the spotting has stopped completely and now I am constantly needing the toilet. My lower tummy the muscles feel like I have a pins and needles sensation especially underneath my belly button. Is it possible I may be pregnant? I have red many forums though that women of all ages have said it messes up the body and can give you fake symptoms of all kinds. Would you be able to shed some light on this please?

You do realize that the depo shot makes your body think you are pregnant, so you wont ovulate and that is how it works. These symptoms you have are ones that are on the warning list. You arent ovulating anymore, therefore it is really impossible for you to get pregnant. You would have had to had unprotected sex like the first 7-14 days in order to actually become pregnant. ALL OF YOUR SYMPTOMS ARE FROM THE SHOT. Trust me, I'm on it. Also, those cravings will make you gain weight (typical) and you are actually supposed to not give in to them. You arent pregnant, stop freaking out.

yes people have gotten pregnant while on the depo shot, i am on it and i always get a lot of pregnancy symptoms.

I'd just like to ask did any of you's actually turn out pregnant? I'm in the same situation but I've had a faint line pregnancy test. 

I've been looking at loads of different websites and decided to just get a blood test because your told all sorts of different things and it puts thoughts in your head. BUT what I've noticed is that women who have fell pregnant have usually been on it about 2 years so maybe your body gets used to it and rejects it? I'm not sure though, just wondering. Wish I never got on it now tbh, this is my first time with pregnancy symptoms and I've been on it like a year and 8 months.

i got the shot in late january of 2013 and its only february. ive been vomiting a little and i dont know what thats about especially since what i threw up was leftovers from dinner that i had the next morning and i never vomit leftovers. im worried especially being 18. but i think ill wait it out and see what happens from there

I've also been having these type of things happening to me within the last 2 weeks or so. I just had my depo on the 29th of Jan of this year. I've been on depo going on 4 years in April. I haven't felt this bad before after getting a shot. I've been nauseous, tired more, headaches constantly, weird food cravings (such as Pickles and peanut butter), tingly and hard feeling in my lower abdomen, and anything that would come with a pregnancy. I've took 2 home pregnancy test they both said negative. I plan on getting the blood test done cuz i heard that could be more accurate than a home pregnancy test. So if anyone could help me let me know soon. I would like to know about what im dealing with. Thanks

hey im 17 teen i just wanna know if u have sex with out a rubber and u are on a depo shot but he comes in u all the time can u still get pregnant

There is no way you could have been pregnant before the depo.. Your doctor is suppose to take a pregnancy test before he/she gives you this shot.
