I wish I hadn't missed this question for so long. I know how you are feeling and what you are going through. When I found out I was pregnant in December they found a 6cm cyst on my right ovary, but they didn't see a baby. It took another week for them to see the baby, but I was indeed pregnant. The cyst had to be removed by surgical means because it got up to 20cm and wasn't getting any smaller. However they had to wait till I was past my 1st trimester to do so because of the risks of medications and being under anestesia. Please let me know how you are doing now. My surgery was "successful", I lost my right ovary and the cyst was a non-cancerous tumor, but now I'm approximately 8 weeks post-op and starting my 6th month of pregnancy. Also, some cysts help pregnancy along, which is another reason they wait till the end of the 1st trimester, because they can often resolve themselves and go away without medical intervention.

Hi, I just ran across this subject for another reason. Anway he should not have put you on percocet while pregnant. Most of know this, but when we are pregnant they say we're 40 weeks full term but we're only 38 because you generally get pregnant 2 weeks after your last cycle. So if you took an early pregnancy test, you would only be about 1 1/2 weeks or 2 weeks pregnant. They can't see anything at the minimum 3 weeks. I know this obviously late but I wouldn't worry, the baby is probably still there and happily growing. I had a friend who had severe cysts that kept bursting and her doc found like 5 of them 3 on one side 2 on another. They scheduled surgery and just as a routine did a pregnancy test. It was positive. The cysts went away on there own but she had to have a special vitamin to keep her ovaries healthy during the pregnancy. What's more shocking is she was told 1 month before that because her case was so severe she would most likely not be able to have any children. So this goes to show doctors don't know everything. Back to the percocets, if you haven't taken any of the drug, don't start now. If the pain isn't really painful, I would go with Tylenol and take 2 for pain and just rest as much as you can. I also had a positive preg test then a negative. My doctor has told me that certain types of cysts produce the same hormaone as prenancy which is why I may have had a positive result.
Its confusing and annoying and I know im not the only one in this situation. so good luck to you all and I really hope you get exactly what you want.

depends on what blood tests the doc did... a qualitative or a quantitative.. the qualitative can be wrong but the quantitative is almost never wrong... there shouldn't be anything wrong with the tests since you took so many.. but to some extent you never know. but surely i should know i took three HPT's a week ago all positive and what not and went to the doc and had both a qualitative and a quantitative and i am 6 1/2 weeks along with really bad cysts since i started my period at thirteen and i am now 22.

About 2 weeks ago, we took a home pregnancy test. It came out positive. So I took 2 more just to be certain. They too came out positive. I have been experiencing pain in my abdomen for a few months now, but I never paid them any mind. I went and had a blood test done, and when the doctor gave me the results, I almost flipped. He told me that I was not pregnant. I asked him how it could be that I was testing positive in my urine, but not my blood. He basically told me that the pain I was feeling was probably from a kidney stone, and that the blood test were more accurate. He did nothing. I went home and took 2 more test, which came out positive. I was histerical and scared. I went back to the doctor, a different one, and he ordered a urine test, and it confirmed that I was pregnant. After that he ordered another blood test, and it said that my HCG levels were rising. He scheduled me for a UltraSound this past friday, which revealed a cyst on my left side. He offered me meds, but I don't want to take anything. The pain is nothing that I can't stand, but I am so scared. We want to be happy, but we don't know what is going on. I ask that everyone in my situation keep updating the boards. I need all the inspiration I can get. This will be my 3rd child, but it is just as precious to me as if it were my first. hi all i have question.. last week i had very bad stomach pain and my period was delay for abt 6 days and my friend advice me check on home pregnancy test i did and it shows positif. and i did check next day also it shows positive it means i check twice.. iam was quite happy.. next day i went to the doctor.. he scan but cant he said cant see anything maybe its in early stage... but iam just worried and confuse.. am i really pregnant.. pls guys share me your ideas of experince .. my question may sound bad but iam just confuse.. until today i still have some stomach pain and white discharge something breast is paining...

Oh my I went through the Same exact think well except some of this miscarriages. When I was Pregnant with my now almost 3 year old daughter I started having bad pains. I went to the ER and ran my 3rd Blood test. They said they couldn't do an ultrasound that night so I'd have to return early the next morning. Well I did of course because I was still in pain. Afterwards another Dr. told me that my HCG had drop like.3 or something like that and I asked if there could be a mistake she told me NO. then she told me that The ultrasound reviled that I was not pregnant and probably having a misscarriage since all they found was a cyst * sorry can't remember the size* I cried for days before I relized I still wasn't bleeding and felt great so I had yet another blood test donw and my levels had gone up. After reading your post i'm wondering if doctors can tell the difference between a baby and a cyst. Good luck I'm sure things will be fine and maybe you'll have a bouncing baby girl like I did!

Hi, I am also going through the same. Took pregnancy test on 4th sep came out + than did again which also came +. Me and my hubby went to the doc. she did another urine based kit test. But it showed faint + so she says test again on 11th sep. Lets see. She has also asked me to undergo Ultrasound on 24th sep. I dont know what is going on as on 5th sep early morning i did test using the same kit the doc used and it showed a little darker line than before. So its making me panicky as we are in a different country away from family and i really need support.

Hey i just went ot the doctors office today with complains of having pain in the lower right abdomen, he did a pregnancy test because i had missed my period for the month, it was positive. he then requested a USS. when i did the USS it indicated that i had a cyst and that there was no gestational sac. this is the second time this had occurred the first time i was bleeding and thought i miss carried but this time i am not bleeding and i am already 6 weeks from last period and 4 weeks from ovulation date. i really want to be pregnant for my husband. i don't have any kids yet and hope that God will bless us this time and let things go well. Can you give me some advise on that please :-( ? :-( :-(

i am very worried because i had a miscarriage in march and they found a cyst on my ovary at my last check up. This past sat i started having bad pain so went to the hospital where i found out i am pregnant but my cyst is about 5cm now. on mon i start to bleed not alot but i am still scared that i could miscarriage with this pragnancy.

I had one cysts on my right ovary. I was given birth control pill for three month to reduce the size of the cysts. But no luck and I under when surgery. After one month I check with my docs office and anything seems ok . The following month when I went to my docs office I found two cyst, one on the right and left. I was shocked as I am are trying to get pregnant for while now. I have pain on the right side and missed my periods. I am not sure if this could be ovary cysts pain or pregnancy . But reading some of your positive comments in this section. I have some hope that I could get pregnant some day. THANKS TO ALL the POSITIVE COMMENTS. %-) :O

I have had 2 miscarages...the most recent was in november. in march right around st. patty's day i ended up in the hospital and they did a ct stone study. they found that i not only had a kidney stone but also a cyst on my right overy..
this wouldn't have been a big thing but i had just had my period the week before, then about a week later i started bleeding, like a normal period...it lasted about a week ((which is long for me, mine are normally about 4 days)) stoped for about 3 days,, and started agian...lasted about a week, then agian....
now i'm really confused...b/c my bf's sister is on her period, and last time she was on hers so i was ((durring the one week on one week off thing))
so i'm not sure if i'm late or not...and i'm wondering if i should take a pregnancy test

when i was 14, I was hospitalized because I thought my appendix burst, but found out i had ovarian cysts 6 inches in diameter. the size of a grapefruit the doctors told me. The cyst would burst and grow back burst and grow back over and over. it caused a stressed fracture in my lower back and i suffer excruciating back pain all the time since i was 14. i was told my cyst had ruptured my ovaries and there was a high chance i would never have kids. 3 days before my period every month i cry if i dont take 5 Advil every 4 hours, the pain is unbearable and nothing else seems to relieve it. so in my relationships i never protected against pregnancy because i believed i could not conceive. and i never did get pregnant. well i just got out of an abusive relationship, and moved cities, i was going to go out to the bar with some friends and didnt get my period yet which wasnt unusual because my cyst i would sometimes go months without it. but i wanted to be cautious i just got out of a relationship and didnt want to risk it. i had always lived vicariously through other people and there children and the past month i had been thinking positive and wishfully, hoping one day i could have a baby of my own ( i had always considered adopting a child later in life) so i took 2 pregnancy tests before we went to the bar and they both popped positive. so now im wondering if my cysts could be causing false results, or if they could higher my risks of miscarriage. I am praying for a healthy baby and am worried that my history with my cysts could be a risk to a healthy pregnancy.
