I am thinking for me that this may be a Vestibular Migraine. Which started about 6 months after going off Celexa cold turkey in 2006. The headache kind of reminds me of the feeling I would get when I sometimes forgot a dose or was off Celexa for a few days, but more severe now. This is also abou the same time that I started experiencing high blood pressure which I am thinking the symptoms could of been made worse by the sudden withdrawal.
My doctor is recommended this week that I get a second neurologist opinion even though my CT, MRI and ear exam were all fine over this past 1 1/2 year. I think it is a good idea. I really hope that this doctor is open to my hypothesis. The last neurologist spent less then 5 minutes with me and I barely understood his English.

I am with you in all of this. I have done all the blood tests, ENT, Neurologist, the whole gammit. Nothing. Then one day I woke up and one leg was numb. I went in to get a MRI and found a ruptured disk. 3 weeks later has a L5/S1 fusion and thought everything was solved. Well this was until I removed the pain medication. Then it all came back. I then went to a Physchitrist because I thought that I maybe was suffering from depression or anxiety. He said I was but I talked to a phychologist friend of mine who said anyone in their right mind would be depressed or anxious if they could not figure out what is wrong with them for two+ years. The pain in the top of my head, I have the rupturing water gurgeling sound in the back of my head, my vision is blurred, ect. I went to the optomotrist last week and he said not only do I have horrible vision, the nerves that meet the back of the eye are off color. So off the Opto-nueorologist at the University. I'm not going to get my hopes up but I really hope this is it. If not, I'm considering this next year going to the Mayo Clinic and getting a full two week work up. I heard you leave that place with what is wrong with you. But hopefully the eyes are the problem. I have the nasuea/vomitting episodes but these seem to flare up when I have a high pressure day at work, but even as I write this I'm having a hard time seeing the screen. BUT, there is an answer for this. We have came way to far as a society not to at least have relief for those who suffer. There is an answer. I promise. Never give up, keep going forward. And to those who think you're just making this up don't believe them. Only we know how we feel. We will win.

A new Neurologist spent alot of time with me going over my symptoms and started treating me with Topamax for migrane and has had me lay off the caffeine. It's working. Thank goodness, no dizziness and I can see again to read, even some of my anxiety is going away. Hopefully, this is it!

If you find out, I'd love to know. My husband is experiencing the same symptoms. He's had MRIs and CAT Scans and nothing shows. He's getting worse...and no one knows what is wrong.

Like all these posts i get the same symptoms. Dizziness, nausea sometimes vomiting, feeling of faint and off balance, pressure in the head, strain in the eyes and difficulty hearing. Also slight breathing problems and anxiety. I've seen many doctors and none can give any answer all tests come back fine. I have had a inner ear infection and never been the same since, the inner ear in the point of co-ordination so im thinking it comes from there. My doc said that when you have an inner ear infection/problem the common associated feelings/symptoms are all those stated above (bar the breathing problems). The infection was helped with anti-biotics and alot of sleep however since then my balance and co-ordination has worsened and all these symptoms continue to come back. If anyone has anymore information regarding please email me at _[removed]_. I'm only 25 and dont want to live with this for the rest of my life. Thanks :-)

I'm also 25 and have had most of the same problems as everyone above. I have gone for CT, MRI, ENG, balance tests, allergist, neurologist, etc.. everything comes back fine. I have had this over a year and a half, with a few periods better for no specific reason. The best and longest free of this was from Jan to late march earlier this year. The latest thought by docs was a neurologist said he thinks it started out as inflamation in my sinuses (as I started with more pressure in my cheeks and forhead) but then anxiety kicked in and would agrivate symptoms. Some days different things seem to help(ibuprophen, decongestant, anxiety meds, nasal sprays), some times nothing helps. I had been on celexa for 2 months now, and though I am not as depressed about my sickness as much, the celexa is having less effects now and I feel foggy lots of days again with a heaviness over my head.. sort of like feeling there isn't enough air circulating in my head. I am going to try b12 and iron pills (though i was normal, just on the lower side of normal) and then back to the neurologist. then going to try a naturopath. If anyone has any progress please post.. everywhere! hah.
Its comforting to know I am not alone with these problems, but frustrating at the same time that a doctor hasn't found a cure, or even bothered to look.
Good luck everyone

I have had similar symptoms, except it appears to be worse for me in late Nov. It started last year when I was switching jobs. I thought it was mostly stress and bad eating habits. My mom, who's a doctor, blamed it on my eating habits. My doctor looked at me like I was crazy and said my lab work was normal. I tried eating more regularly and gave up caffeine, but it didnt seem to affect these symptoms. I have a friend who has similar symptoms, but she got do dizzy and lightheaded she fainted on the subway and at the dentist. After the a battery of tests and specialists she was told there was nothing wrong. She was told by a neurologist that women 25 - 35 are affected by these symptoms with no apparent reason. I thought my symptoms were under control, but has gotten worse this week.

I went to my dr today for these problems of dizziness, nausea, seasick feeling, he said that it was a calcium ball stuck in one side of my ear he did a few things iam not sure which helped but i will tell you all three of them. he layed me on the table on my bace put his hands under my head and turned my head quickly from one side to the other quickly hoping that it would unlodge this. Anyone can do this for you at home. he gave me a shot of a steroid and he gave me a script for a water pill. I have had this nonstop for over two weeks and thought that i would loose my mind. Tonight for rht forst time i feel normal, other than a mild headache but i can live with it for tonight.

i've read most of your postings and its a shame no one will listen, these are suppose to be medical professionals interested in helping, but as many big businesses, so is medicine/insurance. I have many of the same symptoms as most of you and I felt like I was going to black out/pass out a couple of times at work lately; I just shake my head really hard to help it clear up and get back on track. I would hate to have some nobody come in and see me layin on the floor like some person just tryin to get out of work, like, let's face it many of my co-workers like to do. There was a fire on the second floor of our building, I have no idea if that has anything to do with anything, but I wouldn't doubt it. I am allergic to many things, but I had gotten 4 allergy shots every week for 5 years and I can go outside now. My allergist says that after my recent complaints of headaches, top and sometimes in a horseshoe shape around my head, I am fine with a bit of sinus irritation, at the time of my CT I was on a ton of medication for infection/pain/decongestion. These headaches have gotten worse, i've been living with sinus pain and pressure my whole life, but these are different, no one seems to really want to diagnose you, they just pass you on to the next doctor. I can't afford all these doctors with my son too being sick from kids from school, it's killin me financially! I just wish someone would say I can tell you what's wrong with you without going to a ton of doctors, they are all educated right, they should know who to send you to in the first place. No one should have to live like this!

I had non-dissolvable tubes in my ears as a child (1976/1977). When the doctor removed them from each ear, he ruptured both my ear drums. Growing up I battled primarily with Hay Fever (allergies) and many ear, nose, throat related issues.
In the last 10 years or so, I began having "panic" attacks. I do not take medication and am managing this well now, primarily through a change in job/lifesteyle (prayer).
About a year ago, I began smelling burning trash (olfactory) and had a fullness on the top of my head that seemed to move around. I had an MRI, which produced no results (no brain tumor :-).
In addition, I noticed that I had become very tired and began limiting my physical activity. This smelling issues continues today with new symptoms:
Teeth Clinching
Increased Nausea
Increased Fatigue
Body Twitches/Ticks
Sinus Fullness
My doctor currently has me on Nasonex.. :-) LOL

Hi, all,
I had similar problems starting 2 nights ago. At 4:00 am, on 04/01/09, when I woke up. Turning to my side, I felt the whole room was spinning in front of me, dizzy and nausea, vomitted twice between 6:00-8:00 am. I never had this problem before. My blood pressure perfect, do not smoke or drink, have enough physical activities, enough but not too much sun exposure, have been on Somac medicine for the last 2 years.
I went to see the Dr 2 days ago, and she said I probably had inner ear infection. I have been taking Stemzine since, still I feel dizzy, nausea, feel off balance particularly when I lifting my back from bending down. I feel slightly some movement running inside my brain when I turn my body position from flat to my sides in bed, then immediately I feel like the whole room is spinning in front of me. So scared. Can anyone help me there? I am going to visit the Dr again today. Regards, Win

I have missed work due to being dizzy and off balance some mornings. I have been having some sinus issues, since the weather has turned here in Northern California. I have been having the same symptoms but we thought it was cluster headaches. I went to the Dr last week but she/we thought that I was just having cluster headaches so she had me take 6 ibuprofen and then 4 more 4 hours later to try and know it out. That helped temporarily. I am back to having lots of pressure at the top of my head, dizzy, off balance, and nausea. It goes away when I sleep but returns shortly after I am up and moving around. I am so sick of feeling like this. I have just put a call in to the Dr's office after reading all of your posts and will try dramamine, if it's ok while I am still nursing my 3 month old. I can't stand this feeling anymore all I want to do is lay down. Thanks for all of your posts I now have more info to talk to the Dr about. I don't think she checked my ears or nose when I was there but she did check the blood vessels in the back of my eyes.
