I'm seeking any information that is relevant on some symptoms that I have experienced 3 times over the last 3 years.

It hits me like a ton of bricks beginning with my ears ringing and arteries on the sides of my head pulsating like an old 1980's horror flick (you can see them (arteries / veins) throbbing very clearly and the intensity of the pulsation will bounce my head when I am on my side.

Soon after the pulsating peaks my hearing diminishes even more and I begin to have absolutely violent swings in my body temperature (seems like it cycles hot / cold / hot randomly). I cool down the thermo. to try to be comfortable but my poor wife and kids will be freezing while I continue to sweat and suffer.

At the peak of each spell that I've had I have experienced extreme nausea so much that I can barely keep over the counter meds or water down. I typically lose 15 to 20 pounds per episode (and I'm already 30 pounds light)

Because I travel 100% of the time I have been stranded in hotels unable to care for myself other than to bottom out the AC, starve myself, apply cold washcloth to my head, and try to keep hydrated while waiting it out. The nausea and dizziness has kept me in that state for 3 to 4 days per case.

I have been to Henry Ford Hospital and Vanderbilt just after my first two spells where I was on business travel. 1 hospital made many assumptions after quickly checking my vitals (taken when I was feeling normal) and told me I need less stress in my life (what a joke - We all need less stress - don't we.) Another told me (again after taking vitals when feeling fine) I need to quit smoking (a true statement but I see absolutely no relationship between the 3 incidents in 3 years and smoking a half pack per day, every day.

Each time I've felt as though I was having a stroke or heart attack but have never had a situation in front of a Dr. so that they can assess my vitals while it is happening. That is until my last incident was just recently. It hit me when walking through the airport in PA and it hit me like a ton of bricks.

I stopped at a magazine kiosk to rest and a Professional gentleman approached me asking if I needed medical care. He sat me down on my suit case and began asking me questions like my Dr. only he had many, many more questions. He wanted a vivid description of what I was feeling and of each feeling that I had. I rudely answered out of my own frustration and he then suggested that I go to the Dentist to treat a sore tooth I've had. He believed it could be related to an infection of some kind.

I haven't scheduled the Dentist appointment but I'm curious - Could this Gentleman from India be on to something that others either overlooked or simply did not get to see in action?

Of course I'm going to the Dentist but can a tooth actually kill a person?
