Hey guys,
I'm a 19 year old male and for the last few years I have been dealing with a prolapsed rectum. I believe it really started in high school after a strange bout of diarrhea. It only becomes a full prolapse during a very strained bowel movement. With light straining, I can see it but it doesn't come out. Only recently have I become more active in trying to fix it. I've changed my diet and am trying to spend as little time as possible on the toilet with very little, if any, straining.
It doesn't cause me any discomfort when off the toilet. There is no leakage or mucous.
What would be the best course of action? I would like to avoid surgery.
Thanks guys.
