recto-vaginal fistula due to childbirth with continuing issues after 9 years

Hi. How long did you take to heal completely after the fistula repair. Did you face any issues after the repair with regard to continence. I'm 10 months post the repair and still have continence problems

Am 28, I gave birth to my son 3 years ago, i noticed something was wrong after 3 months when i had diarrhea and i clean my vagina. I have pain with intercourse and always pass gass through my vagina, i have mentioned to my doctor but she saids is normal and i havent been persistant because am embarrass to talk about my symptoms and scared of the procedures. I do plan to have more kids should I wait until i get it repair?

My name is noreen..i live in uk. I gave birth to my lovely boy in oct 2016 and because of using forcep i got 4th degree tear which got infected and made a fistula from rectum to vigina..i was in agony for a week and so then the doctors in queen elizbeth hospital decided to do a stoma surgery and right after ten days of my delivery i had a colostomy bag which was meant to reverse within a year but unfortunatly it is still with me because my fistula repair surgery in last year december was not successful. Im very stress .my heart is broken..have you find any good surgeon
..please let me know as i don't trust my surgeon now.
