My husband was at the hospital 3.5 hrs ago and given antibiotics intervenusly and is not to get them till tomorrow afternoon. The red swelling has moved up 5 inches since we left. Why and what do we do? They put the I.V in the infected arm. Should he get a tetnus shot?
